Imagine thousands of dollars a week rolling into your bank account. All your friends are wondering, how'd you do it? Confidence at an all time high. This could actually be you in a few months bringing in real money and absolutely crushing your competition. And I know what you're thinking. I've heard this so many times it's impossible not to nowadays. All these gurus, online selling courses where they're expensive cars, lavish lifestyles and high rise apartments, when in reality they only have money, but because of the bad courses they're selling in the first place. Let me show you why we're different. In this video, I speak to Tamit and he reveals how he took his business from zero to over $15,000 a month with a high value skill that anyone can learn. He used to think the same way everyone else does nowadays, but now he's making six figures at just 19 years old. Welcome back to a Student Spotlight interview. I'm here with another client, Ascension student, my man Tameem. Just starting off, who are you and what are you currently working on?
We do SaaS. SEO. Yeah, I've been working on this for the last 2.5 years. I actually started first as a SEO content writer. Even before that I actually started just writing on medium like I just wrote on the Internet. From there I became a content writer because I thought to myself I could do this for other businesses. And then from there, okay, so how do I scale this at this point? Because I was doing it for so long, I was like, I can turn this from a one person team to a multiple person team and from there have people now under me writing is that we do.
You were a content writer, now you have content writers working for you.
I'll sometimes give them instructions or give them SOPs. And I'm like, I was literally doing this like two years ago. It's so crazy.
I have such a similar background because I got started at an agency making cold calls. And so I didn't want to make cold calls the rest of my life. So I learned the structure of the business that I was working for. That's how I had the idea to create my own agency. But instead of making cold calls, we actually got our start with like LinkedIn automated messages because we could do the same thing you do on the phone, but through LinkedIn, which eventually then led us to doing cold email. And it's also cool for your team because you can tell them your journey and if their aspirations are higher, they can feel good about being in the position they're in with your leadership and Guidance, because you can help them get to where you're at. It always comes full circle, which is exciting and is good motivation to keep going.
It gives a unique edge to your business if you're actually doing what you're selling. It helps everything, even from sale. Like, you just know what you're talking about. So much better. About that thing you just mentioned about the cold call agency. Yeah, we actually have very similar journeys because it wasn't a cold call agency for me, but it was an SEO agency, right? And so literally in my head, I always knew content writing wasn't going to be the end. And then I saw this and I was like, I saw this was literally possible. I got to see how he operated it and everything. And I was like, wait, this is. I can do this. And that's why I was able to scale so fast in a matter of two years, because I saw firsthand we.
Could go on such a tangent here because it's such similar story. A good question that the audience is probably wondering now is what was the jumping off point for you? Like, when did you make the decision to go all in on your own agency? And what core learning or takeaway did you have from working for another agency that helped you, like you said, to speed up the learning curve these past few and a half years?
I wanted to start an agency about eight months into being a content writer, right? But in my opinion, eight months of content writing was not enough to actually be super good at it. But at the time, I was like, I want to start agency. I want to start agency. But I was hesitating. And then finally I'm like, you know what, this is getting kind of boring because I was sitting at an MRR for around 6k a month for a while, and I was like, okay, I'm getting very used to this. I'm getting comfortable. I don't want to get comfortable. I think we have to move to the next step. And now it's time to scale the business. Start the business. I'm like, okay, let me start more outreach. Let me find writers and let me actually start focusing on the right things. And then literally three, four months into that is when I first saw, like, some TikTok video from Daddy. His delivery, his tone of voice resembled some other people that I've heard online. A little bit of Alex Hormozy, a little bit of everything I've seen. He sounded very authentic, right? So I was like, okay. And then he came up like a couple more times. I was like, okay, what is client essential? You know, I clicked on it. I learned everything else. I already hopped on, like, four other calls with other similar programs like. Like Client Ascension. Yeah. But I didn't like their salespeople, really. They didn't convince me that this was something I wanted to do. And then that night, I went on a walk and I was like, this is something I actually have to do. Before Client Ascension, I was under the impression that buying my way into something, it's somehow not authentic. I looked at it like, okay, but the only reason we met or the only reason we're friends or the only reason we're partners is because I paid. This was kind of like a barrier for me. I'd rather go on Reddit or something or build relationships online. The problem with that, though, there's no way to actually vet if these guys are doing what they're saying. They could say that they're making 10k. You are never going to see their stripe dashboard. You don't know if they're actually doing that. What I realized after paying for Client Ascension and paying every month, it's almost like a filter for all the bullshit. Because if someone's paying, for example, $2,000 a month, then it's like, you know that they're making money, and then you know that they know what they're doing. And then now it's so much easier to connect with these people, relate to, and actually create partnerships without any of that worry. That's sort of how I met Plan Ascension and my mindset shift that happened after that.
That's crazy, bro. That's such an interesting perspective and I really appreciate you sharing it. Making a big decision to invest in a coaching program. And one thing you pointed out that our team did well was the sales process, which is something that programs don't do well with, which is probably easier to do well with than the actual fulfillment because you could sell how amazing the program is and all the things you're going to get by signing on. And then you sign on and you're like, this is nothing compared to what explained it. That's a question I have, is like, okay, Peter did this great job selling you into the program. You really thought it through. You checked all the boxes. You're confident in your decision to join. What happens next.
I really love the activation points, like listing it out and the checkboxes. I think that really made everything clear to me. And I was like, okay, yeah, this makes sense. We can check this, check this, check this, check this. I was going to the cold email module. I would never have Been able to figure this out on my own. There might have been some YouTube video on it or something, but it would have never been with the same depth and level of things. The only reason I've gone to the revenue I have now almost 20k is like literally because a lot of the clients came from cold email. And that was like very interesting to me. The concept that like someone can go from a stranger to literally paying you an absurd amount of money in the matter of like two to three weeks. That was another mindset shift that happened after joining Client Ascension. I was like, they're not just saying these things to sell the program. This is actually real. I feel like, especially with me, more than perhaps other people, I have a longer time, like trusting things. Even on the Client Essential website, I saw a bunch of testimonials and the first thought that came to my head was, no, these must be like photoshopped or something. It's kind of like what Daniel said before, like, you're an Internet scammer until you're proven not. I literally know the people I talk to, people who are in the Winds channel on a day to day. So I know it's not bullshit anymore.
You're in the Winds Channel, bro.
I'm literally one of those screenshots. That's crazy to me.
Yeah.
It's crazy to think about.
Right. But it is totally valid too. Just because the history of this industry, there's been a lot of bad players.
Yeah.
And I think having your guard up, it shows intelligence, but also not letting it derail your decision to invest in yourself and move yourself forward. It's just finding that balance. And so cold email is one thing that you learned you went super deep with. And we're actually able to generate results from. Is there anything el that you've been doing in your agency the past couple of weeks, past couple of months have really made a difference that you've noticed.
Staying consistent with the emails. It was very important. But also I noticed the Twitter growth hype formula basically with the sales assets and everything. That also worked. I realized, okay, I'm paying all this money. I might as well just shut up and listen. And I know I was pretty silent in the program for like the first two months, but I was really just absorbing everything literally on the way this channel, just reading everything. The response handling channel, which is by far one of the most entertaining channels by the way. Shout out to Ori. Yeah, because like I'll read this shit and I'll be like, okay, yeah, that was a nice response. That's it. You just for like you have some free time, don't go on TikTok scroll to the response Handling chat I basically just took the mentality that If I'm paying $2,000 a month, let me just listen and do everything word for word and I did that. And I truly tried to understand why we're doing the things we're doing. By understanding that, then I'll actually learn the principles of it.
That's awesome, bro. So you've been working on the agency for two and a half years. You have agency experience prior to starting your own. You join a coaching program like Client Ascension. You meet a bunch of people in there, you learn a couple of things that helps to bo your revenue. What are you focused on next? Like now it's August 2023. Between now and the end of the year, where are you focused and what do you want to accomplish?
I want to scale up our marketing efforts. Definitely there's a proof of concept. I know that this works. The number one thing first is going to be scaling this. So I'm buying more domains, sending more emails, producing more content. I've also made the shift to the fact that as the founder, 80% of my efforts should go towards growth and sales only. This is how I want to focus for the next year. Another thing that happened after joining Plan Ascension was I realized that I needed to add more to my skillset. I was just a content writer. Now we're an SEO agency. I knew about technical SEO and I knew about link building, but I just never really dabbled. I did some work, so I knew what to do. I just didn't really do it that much. So now it's just growth and sales that I'm focusing on and then making sure that I'm mastering fulfillment. In terms of those who are under me, like reading the right standard operating.
Procedures, one of the things that really stands out is transitioning from just being a content writer to being a more prized service provider. The way Daniel describes this is like logistical intent. If you're offering someone to just do content writing, that is only like one of the things they need. So the more things you can do for them that are important are and are going to drive results, you're going to instantly level yourself up in the marketplace. And then the other thing that she pointed out, which is why I push this stuff so hard, is you're just going to do more volume, you're going to send more emails, you're going to post more content, you're going to hire more people. Once you figure out something that works, you can scale it. Getting into my favorite question of these interviews is anytime you join a coaching program, you're going to have the guys that are are crushing it and just getting results that they're happy with. And then you're going to have what I call, like the dark side of coaching programs, which is where students join and then for whatever reason, they don't take action. They don't go through the content, they don't show up to coaching calls, and not surprisingly, they don't get results. Talking to that section of the community, what's one piece of advice you'd give to them to help them turn things around and start to see results?
So I know I said that I absorbed a lot of information quietly, but there was a period of time in client ascension where I paid and then I was kind of just taking a little slow that I didn't need to. Like, I could have gone faster. And inside I was almost a little afraid to start. But when I started climbing session, I still felt like I had one foot in the door, one foot out. And joining the program helped me. So the number one advice I would give, I think, is that literally just watch the content. Because what happened with me was when I watched the content, it gave me everything I had to do. And then once I had everything I had to, it made me realize, like, oh, shit, I have so much to do. I just can't be sitting around. I can't waste like two, three hours here. Like, this is everything I have to do right now. Biting the bullet and then just opening the module and then just starting the first video and playing it and then just letting it run. And then as you let it run, just listen and be like, if I just sit here and just watch this and don't do anything about it, then I literally just threw away all this money for no reason. If I'm that kind of person, then I never belonged here in the first place. Another thing is a student success coach. I think this is very important, especially for a remote, remote program when Chris is messaging me or is on my ass or like, creates challenges like the sales asset challenge or the weekly task accountability stuff, right? And they're literally telling you, you do this. Went through the modules. He saw how much I finished, and then he noticed I didn't watch a certain video. And then he literally took that video. He's like, watch this one, by the way, right? It's stuff like that that will help, but you need to show your student success coach also that you're willing to do. And then they're going to be proactive and help you also. And like, okay, you can do this. That helps. Like keeping accountable, stay in touch. If not with anyone else, if you're too lazy with anyone else to stay in touch with this. I'll be honest, I haven't attended a lot of coaching calls, right? So for the people that are listening who might have not done the same thing as me, it might be fair. You might have shit to do in your day to day, like meeting or fulfillment. Like I was hopping on the call. It's like, oh, do I do this or do I have this obligation I have to meet right? Right away. Even then I'm still on the WINS channel because I still on my own time. Whenever I could watch recordings, I read the channels. So I was still absorbing. Maybe not live, but I made sure that I still was to get started, I think really just watch the content. I feel like people put that off. You might come into it expecting like someone to teach you how to do it, like do this, do this, do this live on a call. But no, it's the course modules. And then you watch that and it gives you a list of to do's. Basically. Basically.
Last segment of like two or three minutes was a masterclass. Because I think what's interesting about you is the way you consume content is not like everyone else. You're not having to go to these live calls and ask questions because you can go through the content and read the slack. I think reading the slack and like lurking in the different slack channels is where the superpower comes from because you're constantly feeding yourself information and answers to questions that other students that are also going through the same program and are also having the same goals as you are asking. So you don't always have to be going to these coaching calls because you're getting the answers you need anyways and you have that space on your calendar now to go out. And like you said, the most important part is to implement. That was an absolute masterclass and I appreciate you sharing and actually going through all the content and staying accountable to your student success coach and taking action, bro, because that's why you're here today, if we're being honest. My last question for you, bro, to wrap this up is you have a lot of success in front of you in the future. So I want to make sure people watching this right now, right away can follow you and just start to get involved with everything that you're working on. Where can they find your of social media. Where can they learn more about what it's like to work with you?
