Case Study: From 0 to 23k/mo in 5 months with an AI Assisted Agency

Nick grew an AI-assisted agency from zero to $23k monthly revenue in five months by cold-emailing a "Dream 100" list with AI-generated deliverables. His first client signed after receiving a massive package of ad scripts, funnels, and landing pages, all built with Claude Code for $200 a month. He now repeats the same outreach method and handles everything solo.

What's up, everybody? I got Nick here who is inside of AI Assistant Agency. He joined with us from complete zero. And Nick, you are now at $25,000 last month. Is that right?
That's right.
And your MRR is about $18,500.
$18,500. Just actually signed another deal. Pushed me over like $23K.
Good stuff, bro. That's awesome. Here. So we're going to talk all about that. Disclaimer real quick for everybody watching this. I'm not promising you get those results. The probability you get that is pretty much close to zero because most people get no results doing anything at all. The purpose of this interview is to just explain how you could use the information to increase the probability you could potentially get results. But I'm not promising you get anything like this at all. Nick, let's walk through everything. Take me through like the whole journey of like you started from zero. It took you a while to kind of get up to it and like some mindset stuff. And I want to hear all about it just to relate to people like kind of like a realistic way this could play out.
Yeah. So I don't know how far back we want to go, but I'll just start from the beginning. I've worked in e-commerce, I've done a lot of stuff with Google Tag Manager Analytics, so I had this offer figured out. That's the whole reason I joined Client Ascension in the first place back last January. And I joined, I jumped on your offer. Call, I thought I had an offer dialed in and you were just like, no, don't run that. It's not a good cold traffic offer. That won't sell. I had spent all that time and mental energy thinking that's what I was going to sell. That was kind of devastating. So I was just like, all right, let me refigure what I'm going to sell. And I had some e-commerce experience and I said, well, I'll just sell CRO to e-commerce businesses. Fast forward a while. I spent some time kind of overthinking that for a while. And then just to kind of fast forward a little bit, you launched the offer AI Assisted Agency, and I thought that sounded super interesting. It had specific business models that jumping into specifics about how how to run them using AI. And I just kind of picked one and ran with it. I thought running ads and funnels sounded interesting. It sounded in line with what I wanted to ultimately do. Thought the upside was there. And I just said, you know, I'll just take this. I didn't really know how to run it or anything, but just kind of leap of faith, right? And then I jumped into it, followed the course, and used AI to basically Chad Ram my way through it. And again, I spent a lot of time overthinking it. You know, I'm kind of a chronic overthinker, which is just a killer, as anybody should realize if they've ever run a business. You know, thinking, getting ahead of yourself, thinking what's going to happen, what are the objections going to be, or like, am I going to be able to fulfill this? There's absolutely no purpose in thinking that way. So what it turned out, I just needed to get clients, put what I knew in practice. That's really the best way to just start gaining some momentum and putting what you actually know in practice. And it's the only way to really solidify what you learned in theory, right? Yeah.
So what are the first maybe client or two like, what are the offer you sell them? What did it look like? Like kind of how did you construct that?
Actually, the first client I got was just through cold outreach and she was an info coaching business, pretty established. She was doing about $2 million a year, and I basically just told her what I would do. I think that what really did it for her, what got her excited on our call was explaining what concept that you teach. It's just the transfer of logistical intensity. I just put a lot of deliverables in front of her and she said, okay, cool, I want that. You know, what do you charge? Seeing as though it was my first deal, I undercharged in hindsight, but, you know, it was worth it to get the deal. Told her $5K. Actually, she did an $8,000 setup and then $5K monthly. Now that I say it out loud, that's not that bad for a first deal.
That's pretty good. But you had no case studies for this at all.
No, I didn't.
It was all just like deliverable stacking, like that kind of concept I teach.
100%, you know, and I kind of sounded like I knew what I was talking about on our call. Just came in with some confidence, false confidence if you want to say that. But it's been good. I'm still working with her and she's happy. We've since set up a rev share structure and pretty steadily growing her business, her top line.
That's dope. The next clients after that, did those also all come from cold outreach or like did anything change while doing that? Like, did you change up the cold outreach strategy because now you had a client you could show results or like kind of how did that elapse?
No, pretty much the same, to I really just use the same strategy now with more confidence, I guess I could point to and I do in my Dream 100 document, I do have that case study in there. But, you know, it's just one. I feel like I need to bolster that part of my outreach, but it's really about the conveying the transfer of logistical intensity and putting in front of them what you're going to do for them. It just anchors the value in a way that's kind of undeniable for them.
Yeah, that's awesome. What Dream 100 is, is you're just going to some client and you're pre-making like a list of stuff for them and like literally just like handing it to them. Hey, I made this all for you. Do you want to work with me? You can get more of it and I can implement it all for you. That's what you're doing, correct?
100%.
Are you making pretty much all of that with AI, like all the deliverables?
It's all AI. And for a while I spent a lot of time manually combing through it all. But what I realized is just having so much like bulk of deliverable in there, it's what was getting the job done and the quality was good enough. And as I've gotten better at using AI, you know, those deliverables, those front-end deliverables have gotten better, just the automated deliverables. But initially I don't think they were very good at all, to be honest. You know, I think the scripts were quite obviously AI and stuff like that.
They've gotten About how many of those do you need to send to get somebody on the phone and to sign a client, if you know the answer?
I've probably sent no more than like 150 Dream 100s, which is admittedly low volume, but, you know, I've been seeing success with it.
Are you sending them through email or like LinkedIn or Instagram or?
Yeah, email and LinkedIn.
Okay, both at the same time. That's exactly what you want to do. There's really no reason to only do one of them. If you can find them somewhere else, also send it there. All right. That makes sense.
Yeah, email is almost nobody's seeing my emails. I need to work on that. But LinkedIn has been where I've been getting the traction though.
So what are the deliverables of your offer? Like you're building these guys a funnel or are you doing some like email stuff as well? Are you making the ad creatives? Is there like editing involved? Is there media buying? What's the actual product?
Yeah, it's all of the above. Ad scripting, the funnel, the email flows, the automation in their CRM, setting up all that for them. You know, what good does it do me to build all the email flows if they can't implement it? My first client already had all that structure in place, so that was way easier. But it's definitely part of my stack and the video editing as well. They get them recorded, I get them edited for them. As far as like those sales assets, it's the ads, VSL, the breakout videos, obviously the landing pages, the OTOs. I'll make the OTOs for them, you know, the one-time offers and, you know, their bump sales, stuff like that. If they don't have them, I'll help them make them.
Nice. Good stuff. Is it just you or you got like a VA or a team member? It's just you.
It's just me.
Oh, cool. So last month you did $25,000 in cash collected. You're now above $23K MRR and it's literally just you. You have zero employees. It's all AI.
Value. 100%. So there's, you know, there's the marginal software cost, stuff like that.
But yeah, yeah, a couple hundred bucks.
My employee is Claude Code at $200 a month.
Yeah, dope. Tell us about like, what is the stuff you are doing with AI? Have you got any like cool systems or is it like super like basic level? Like kind of walk us through that.
It's a good question. And frankly, like I think it's really cool and I'm always blown away by like what I'm able to achieve with it. But as I look around, I'm not even scratching the surface of what I see other people doing. You know, I try to automate things as much as I can from end to end. Like for example, my whole Dream 100 flow is 100% automated. I have a list, I have their, you know, their email, I have their website, and I basically, you know, it scrapes their website automatically. It does research on their brand, their product, their positioning, puts together offers for them, and then builds all the deliverables based on that research and then puts together a beautiful Dream 100 document that's interactive. It might be overkill, but I think it's super cool. You know, when people get it, they're pretty impressed.
Are you building and designing landing pages and writing VSLs and ad scripts all with AI?
100%.
I just started doing a lot of AI-built landing pages where you can spin them up so fast. In like so many iterations of them. It's, dude, it's so fun.
It's crazy. And you know, even if somebody is using GoHighLevel, my clients anyway, aren't too concerned with how, if I build them using the builder, I just use code and I can iterate super quickly. I get the VSL in there and you have split tests running immediately. And I had one client kind of push back and say, well, why aren't you using the builder? And I just said, this allows us to build and iterate really quickly. You know what, if we have a proven model and we want to build it using the builder, we can do that. But this just allows us to move more quickly.
And he was fine with it.
Yeah.
Nice. Good stuff. So you were trying to build an agency agency before, obviously trying as hard as you could to be successful. And then it seemed like all this AI stuff is what kind of unlocked it for you, in combination with understanding that like you need to offer that sells. And I think a lot of people, they get confused about like thinking that if I just learn a lot of stuff about AI, I'm gonna make money. It just outright doesn't work like that. Or a lot of people, even they might have clients already, but they've never like been able to consistently acquire new clients raw, cold traffic, like they can only get people because they were a referral or they just happened to meet them somehow. How does it feel? Just like an anecdotal, like, is there like a feeling of like security and certainty you get when you know where it's— I have an offer that I can get a complete stranger to buy and I can fulfill this thing with AI. Like, what is the difference between having it like that versus what you were doing before?
I love that question because it really is like just such an unlock. And I was telling Andy, I want to do this call when I'm at 50 to 100K and, you know, I have no doubt that I'm going to get there at this point. Whereas prior to that unlock, I, it was hard for me to envision that. And now it's just a matter of just putting in the next steps to get there. I know I can see the path forward. Not sure I answered your question 100%, but yeah, it's a massive unlock to one, have an offer that I know is going to sell. And then two, that I know I can fulfill and it's not going to cost me an arm and a leg.
Dope. Good stuff. Anything useful you think that I could like steer you towards? Like anything that you wanted to say?
I mean, honestly, like, and I've said this to Andy many times without Client Ascension, I wouldn't have gotten there. And there's so many different aspects to it. In my case, it was a lot of mindset stuff. It was just me holding myself back, trying to think my way through it when you just need to push your way through it.
How'd you get over that? Like, because that's just such a huge problem we see with so many people. Like, how do you stop just overthinking and just do the thing and get results?
This is the value, in my opinion, of being in a community like Client Ascension, which I mean, I don't think I would ever have overcome this if I weren't in there. Just seeing people doing it over and over again. There's such a wide, you know, range of entrepreneurs in the group, from people like me that were just getting started to people that are successful doing, you know, hundreds of thousands a month. And to see them all the way they operate and seeing people starting and just like Chad-ramming it, I was like, well, fuck, you know, why can't I do that? Why can't I just start putting my foot forward, one foot in front of the other, and just do it? That was really it. It's almost embarrassing to admit, but it's actually true.
Dude, I remember, I mean, it must have been like 8, 9 years ago at this point, being on Twitter and seeing people post like $30K a month and I have never done any of this yet. And I was like, I don't even know how that's possible. Like, this is so much. I'm like, why ever be one of those guys? Like, that would just be like insane if I were. And then now I'm just orders of magnitude completely way beyond that. And it's like, wow, that's just so interesting. No, you can be one of those people. Like, it's not like a secret club.
That's a soundbite that I'll always remember from you is you literally just have to get out of your own way. I love your newsletter, by the way. I get so much value out of that.
If you want to leave one piece of advice for somebody who's just starting out, like they started at zero like you, you had to tell them like, hey, these are the roadblocks you're going to hit. This is how you solve those as quickly as possible. Don't make my mistake. What would you tell them?
I mean, Client Ascension walks you through it pretty step by step. I mean, honestly, make sure you have a good offer that is going to convert cold traffic and just get started getting in front of people. You know, you need to just be getting in front of people and whether you fail or close deals, that's the only way you're going to learn. Don't spend all your time spinning wheels in theory land because it's a waste of time.
All right. We'll wrap it up here. If anybody wants to connect with Nick, I'm going to leave links to all of his stuff in the description so you can You can follow him, you can see what he's up to. And if you want to join AI-assisted agency like him and have a profoundly higher probability of actually getting results because we walk you through everything, what to sell, who to sell it to, how to get clients and how to fulfill for the clients by using AI, that'll be the first link in the description. You can go over there and you can schedule in with us and you can join immediately. Nick, appreciate you coming on, bro.
Thanks, Daniel. Appreciate it, man.
