Cold Email Vs. Cold Calling

Daniel Fazio compares cold email and cold calling: email scales easier but cold calls convert better and are more predictable. The best approach combines both, opening with email then following up by phone. Success requires reps who hold frame on calls and offers designed specifically for cold outbound.

Yeah, that's gonna, that's gonna massively rip because you haven't even. You've been neglecting that whole side, whole channel. So it's gonna open you up. And even people who have. You can track people who emailed and haven't answered that are quality prospects. And now you can give them a call and see if you can pick up on older contacts and opt ins. I was expecting worse.
But it's not golf. Got some fucking high notes. It's so simple. Passion fruit. Because I'm very passionate about it.
Cheers. Cheers, brother. Car path only.
The problem with cold email versus cold outreach is if you're gonna do it yourself, it's one people got to get over cold calling. It's way easier to cold email. That's why there's more cold emailers. But I feel as if the effectiveness and the predictability of cold calling makes more sense. It just takes more energy to find somebody willing to do it in the first place, somebody who doesn't churn from it and then the active training of them. Because with cold email you can literally just be like, I already made good script to this specific niche from this specific lead list. You can rail up 10 domains and keep it going. But cold calling, it's just, it's so personal and it has such a high conversion rate as opposed to cold email. So I feel as if the two effects balance each other. And if you were to have a team of three cold emailers versus three cold callers, they could probably produce similar results. But the kind of person that will reply to a cold email and the kind of person who replied to a cold call are completely different. So you need to have both simultaneously.
To hit both avenues and you can use them simultaneously. So if people are opening your cold email and not responding, you just pick up the phone and call them because you know that they're already interested in what you're saying. They have a basic understanding of what your offer is. So if you use cold calling strategically with cold email, you're going to have the best results. This is a transfusion. It's Tito's and purple Purple drink. I don't know what's in it, but it is delicious. All right, it's the barstool drink.
What's the probability this goes in the water? I feel as if because I'm a marketing guy, you probably consider yourself a sales guy.
Yeah.
But as I've scaled farther and farther, I've kind of, I feel as if neglected the one on one personal aspect of sales in my particular Instance I'm thinking about is my DMs on Twitter because I'll get like 200 followers per day.
Yeah, you're not reaching out to them.
Yeah, I'm not reaching out to them and I should be. And that's something we're, we're going to correct. I'm going to address that shortly, but I'm going to do more sales systems integrated into the marketing efforts that we currently have. That's the goal.
Yeah, that's kind of, that's going to massively rip because you haven't even, you've been neglecting that whole side, whole channel. So it's going to open you up and even people who have. You can track people who emailed and haven't answered that are quality prospects. And now you can give them a call and see if you can pick up on older contacts and opt ins for especially Client Ascension.
We're doing the setting for people who opt in in the first place. But I feel as if there needs to be more front end personal sales outreach and probably like straight cold, like real for Client Ascension in particular. Like real, actual cold.
Almost get legs. Where are these guys coming from? I mean they're wasting their time. They got to get to the meeting, set the lolly guy getting around. They're asking too many questions. They're getting too much into leads where they're going to disqualify the prospect on the call, where you have to defer the questions that they're asking on the phone call to another call so you can become more prepared for the demo call. So what these guys are doing right now is they're getting caught in the woods.
They're.
They're not holding frame. They're answering all the questions and they're gonna lose the, the phone call. Yeah, because you just been doing Twitter. There's so many other social platforms, Twitter.
YouTube ads and then opt in. Call them when they opt in. Yeah.
So you're hunting at your own watering hole where cold calling and cold DMing will allow you to go to other waterholes and hunt.
But we still cold email. Like for other things just.
You're the cold email wizard. So.
Yeah, I mean, just not that one. I feel as if if you're going to be doing cold outbound, the offer has to be designed in such a fashion to where cold traffic would convert on it in the first place. And that's exactly. For the past eight months, what we've been doing with Client Essential is converting it to be something that could work with pure cold. Right.
You have enough social proof, because it's.
Not a straight service business. That is a consulting coaching program. So it needs to be designed in such a fashion to where it would work with cold. But if it's like you have an agency offer it just no easy rip off the fucking bat just because inherently of how it is designed, it works with cold. And that's why cold email works so well. It's why everyone, obviously client essentially teaches people how to do cold email inside of it. It's why they get such good results.
And that you teach cold calling now.
Yeah, we do cold calling now. There's a cold call coach inside client essential. So if you have an SDR on your team or you yourself want to rip some cold calls, we'll teach you cold email. Dylan will teach you cold calling. Then we can get you some fucking.
