CRO Agency Hits $28k/mo in 4 Months inside Client Ascension using Twitter & Cold Email (Jeff Park)

Transcript of a YouTube interview (May 25, 2023) where Daniel Fazio interviews Jeff Park about growing a CRO/landing-page agency inside the Client Ascension (CA) program. Jeff says he joined CA in mid-January; his lowest month then was about $3,000 and in the most recent four-week period he reached about $28–29k. He credits CA for providing direction, personalized coaching, and a repeatable process. Primary lead-generation channels: Twitter (content + inbounds), referrals from CA/network, and cold email. Operational improvements Jeff implemented include dialing his offer, consistent content creation, setting up a CRM and VSL, recording and reviewing sales calls, and adopting a structured sales script — moving from ~1–5% close rates to roughly 30–40%. He emphasizes iteration, obsession/commitment, and hunting for opportunities.

What's up everybody? Got Jeff park here. Incline. Ascension. Brother, how we doing?
What's going on, bro? Thank you for having me, bro. Super grateful.
So what is. What is. Could you share with everyone because you're inclined Ascension, could you share with everybody what you, what revenue level you were at when you joined and then where you are now?
Yeah, sure. So I joined CA back in mid January. That's actually my lowest month. I was at I think 3k back in Jen in the last four weeks I'm at about 28, 29. Okay, nice.
So it was kind of like, like before you joined, was it like one off projects every here and there? Not really. Kind of like a, like a like predictable system behind it or like kind of what. Basically what's the difference between what you were doing before versus what where you are now? Like after learning everything in client's engine?
Yeah, absolutely. So before it was a fucking shit show. Not going to lie, it was me just testing a bunch of shit, testing a bunch of offers that obviously didn't work. It was just bunch of scattered motion. Right. Like it was just me just figuring out on the fly. So I guess that's the number one thing where it was just clutterness and just lack of clarity. And I think the main thing that I gained from CA was as far as just having some sort of direction where I'm able to ask specific like super personalized questions because it's obviously going to like, it's personalized based on to my, my specific situation. So being able to ask super specific questions to the coach, the many coaches throughout ca, being able to get a direct answer and then going back to work and then just doing what they say, implementing it and then going back and forth as far as asking questions, getting the answer and doing it and then just kind of cycling through that. Right. So as far as like the number one thing is just having some sort of direction and having like people who've, who've done it and been where I am before. Just having that like streamlined direction is probably the best number one thing.
So you're selling, you're selling like conversion rate optimization and like landing pages and whatnot. What are you doing for the Legion? If you could share that with everyone, like, how are you getting the clients?
Yeah, right now what's been ripping for me is Twitter. So I've been getting a shit ton of Twitter inbounds. Um, so as far as leak goes, Twitter, a lot of referrals. So just networking with people in ca, like because there's a lot of like synonymous. Not synonymous, but like services that we all offer to different brands that work together. Right. So for example, someone selling email marketing, Facebook ads, I'm able to like pitch my services to them with like their. Their clients and kinds work that way. So those two Twitter referrals and then cold email have been like my main three.
Yeah. I remember when you first joined, I was like, we were going through your Twitter stuff. I was like, bro, make content like this, do this, do this.
Yeah.
And then there were like a couple weeks where like you kind of went dark for a little bit. I'm like, what are you doing? Do this kind of, kind of what we. What it's like repeatable stuff is essentially what I told you to do. Where it's like just do this continuously. Like this over and over and over again.
Yeah.
Obviously is clearly, clearly working for you.
Yeah. I mean, since then, like since you were just going off by saying just post content, since then it just went like literally just straight up like that period of when, when I was going dark, it was literally just me trying to like plan and like trying to actually make content because the actual like content takes time for me to actually design stuff. But like as soon as I. I scheduled out for like a week or two and then just posting mad content, just being consistent, like since then it's just skyrocketed from there.
Yeah.
So. Yeah, so the answer, dude, the answer is simple for a lot of it's just doing what like you or people in. In like the program say to do and just do it. Like just like not question it, just do it, you know?
Yeah. And then, and then like changing kind of like how the offer is presented in a way. Because I know we worked on that with you a little bit and it's like morphing it away from just kind of just like, oh, well, you can just buy this for me into something like just changing it to something that just seems more valuable based off like a claim, a risk reversal evidence and just like showing and like displaying competency continuously. And obviously it's working.
Yeah. So I'm not sure if I mentioned this before, but even before ca. Even like a month in to say like I didn't have like a, like a dialed in offer where it was like, like something where I was extremely confident as far as like being able to just say my offer and. And actually getting leads that are interested in it. So like that was one thing that I was able to really dial in. I have to say. I'm not saying it was like Immediately. But something that, like, I mean, like, took some time to. To actually dial in. But once I got that dialed in and actually selling an offer or service that people genuinely wanted, like, from there, like, actually closing on sales calls was just so much easier from there too.
Yeah, I mean, it's an iterative process.
It's like, exactly.
You get feedback, you do something else, and you get feedback on it. You do something else and it's. It's. I mean, it's super slow. Like, in high. In hindsight, it's fast. But like, when it's like you're experiencing it day by day. Yeah, it's super slow. That's like the same thing with cold emails. So it's like you're sending cold emails and like, then you get feedback on people from sales calls and you inject that into the script, and then you. You're changing stuff in your landing page and you're getting feedback based on the content. You just like, morph the offer into selling something that people actually want to purchase.
Exactly.
How's your. How's your sales process? Like, you got a CRM now and that's all. That's all good, dude.
Like, even before I didn't have a CRM, like, just from. From top to bottom, I had nothing set up. Like, absolutely nothing. So, like, even something as simple as, like a CRM, like a vsl, like all that on my. I finally got that together. But as far as my sales process, like, that was another thing that I had no idea. Like, even to the point where, like, I wasn't even, like, recording my calls. Like, was doing no, like, film study or anything like that. So, like, again, like, the point I was making before, which is like, actually having dedicated coaches where I'm able to ask questions, or like, even just being part of the discussions during the weekly calls, like, I'm definitely not someone who participates that much, but even just being surrounded by the people who are asking similar questions that I probably had in the back of my mind but just aren't asking or just simply just being in these conversations. Like, that's the one thing that helped me. Like, like another thing is like, the whole, like, sales script, like, how to actually, like, structure the sales calls. Like, that was like, my calls before were a joke. Like, there's obviously a reason why I was closing out like a 1%, like a 5% close rate before, but now I think I'm closing at like, at least 30, 40% right now.
So, like, yeah, I feel like a huge shifting point. A lot of people have is like I guess when they're super beginner and they haven't closed like a ton of people is they think that you just like take a sales call and everybody just immediately closes if they're going to close. But it's like no, like people have sales cycles and conversion windows and it just takes people a long time to convert and people don't realize like actually how many people you over the course of a month or two like engage in a conversation with. Like even if it's just DMs on social media or like a back and forth from cold email and if like they're not in your CRM, you're going to forget about them. Like you 100% are going, you're not going to remember they existed. And like when you actually have like data tracking like that it's like dude like 80% of your sales are not gonna one call close. Like it doesn't work like that.
Yeah, I think like that's one thing that like always discouraged me of. Like, like seeing people like say oh like just close it with one call. I've always was like how the do you get like people to pay like complete strangers to pay you on calls? Like that's always something that like tripped me up. But like again like just having like a structure and like having some sort of like reference as far as like, like there has to be some sort of like back end system, right? Like something similar to CRM. Like like outside looking in. Like it's so obvious but to me it's like something that I just didn't even have. Right? So those like just these small things that like people kind of miss out on that like it's definitely more structured like joining CA for example of like it's literally like you guys telling do this, this and this and then you check it off and then you move on to the next thing and then you kind of just like I'm going go through that, you know. Nice.
If, if you had to, if you had to give advice to the version of you that existed, say like six months ago, what would you tell them to accelerate the process to get to.
Where you are now? That's a good question because six months ago I'm like even like yeah, actually I was like even like four months ago. Like literally the, a few weeks before joining say like I was in a similar spot of like not knowing what the I'm doing. So I guess it's just, I guess it's. I mean this is something more macro but like something just Selling something that you're actually good at or like, you know how to do. Because, like, one thing that always tripped me up was like trying to follow trends of like seeing people on Twitter, like doing email marketing or selling Facebook ads. And what the do I know about that, right? But like just selling something that I actually genuinely am good at, which is like designing pages and stuff like that. So just kind of doubling down on like what you're good at. Right? That's one. Another is, I guess it's more of like a mindset kind of shift is just being completely obsessed with what I'm doing. Where it's like, so true. Yeah. Where like, there's points where I like, wouldn't work as hard because I always knew back in my like, what the fuck am I doing this for? Like, kind of feeling discouraged. But like, as soon as I like shifted as far as, like, this has to work or I'm gonna die trying to make this work. Like as soon as I like, like, and like, it's not something that's immediate, right? Like, like it, like you make that shift, but it takes time to kind of transition into that. But like, as soon as like, I like made that switch of like, yo, I have to work or have to make this work or I'm gonna like shoe myself, then like, that's when it starts to like, pick up. And like that coupled with like me actually deciding to join ca, like, I feel like once you have that mentality, like, things just kind of pile up on each other. Of like, like, like actually taking opportunities that present yourself. Because I think like how I joined CA was you DMing me on Twitter and then me being like, holy shit, the fucking cold email wizard dm, like his hitting me up, right? So for me it was like, holy. Like, so just see, I mean this is just me personally, but like seeing it as like signs like, of like, okay, this is, this is my sign to actually, to take advantage of this and just, just go and actually just, just go and just fully spend on yourself and just, just full send it, right? So I think that's something.
My buddy Grant made this tweet the other day where he was talking about like the difference between people who were successful and people who are not is like unsuccessful people just want to be spoon fed like, like, like a child to get success. And then successful people are always like hunting where they're like, I'm gonna go this, I'm gonna find this. I'm gonna go here, I'm gonna find this, I'm gonna go Here, I'm gonna find this. I'm gonna implement this, and they're like, hunting. See what I mean?
Yeah. Yeah.
So true.
It's so true, actually, because, like, once you're, like, adopting that mentality of find food or I'm gonna starve, like, then, like, your actions kind of change in accordance to that idea of, like, yeah, I have to make a kill or I'm gonna starve and die and just wither away. Right? So, like, that's kind of when you're. You're. You're seeking opportunities and, like, sending mad dms, but, like, it doesn't actually feel like you're sending that many dms, because it's like, just, like, you're going in a frenzy of, like, just making work. And, like, I think, like, that's, like, the one thing that, like, definitely helped me as far as, like, the shift of, like, things not working to it actually kind of working, and then from there, just kind of snowball effects into just facts.
