How Kyle Hit $70,000/mo Inside Client Ascension with Cold Email & Twitter Ads

Kyle scaled his recruitment agency from $17-20k/month to $70k/month using Twitter ads (5-6x ROAS) and cold email. He hired a closer, warmed his leads better, and delegated day-to-day work while inside the Client Ascension program.

What's up everybody? I got Kyle trouble here. He runs a recruitment agency. And Kyle, you've been in client session for about five months now. Could you share with everybody what you were making when you started where you are now?
Yeah, thanks for having me on first and foremost, man. So when I joined Client Ascension, I think I was floating somewhere around 17 to 20k a month. Recurring revenue. Obviously it's a placement agency so we're basically paying the candidates every month. Right. And now with the one time fees from last month right now like recurring revenue up at around like mid 50s. Hopefully we close a few more. Should be around 60 in the coming days. And then on top of that, the initial starting fee and offer has really been dialed in. So I should like if everything goes how it is this month should be getting close to about 70, I think 3 to 4x.
Yeah, that's. That's so dope.
Showing no signs of stopping either.
Yeah, yeah, it's. Yours is going pretty fast. You're gonna, you're gonna probably. It's. I was talking with you last week about just like a, just like a call one on one with you and I and I was basically saying that at this point it's pretty inevitable that you will be at 100, 150 probably within the next like four months or.
Something like that early next year.
For context for everybody, could you share maybe not giving away too much sauce, but how are you getting, how are you getting the clients?
Honestly man, I can pretty much tell you most of it because it's, it's everywhere. So it's partially just word of mouth referrals, it's partially. Twitter ads are just absolutely ripping. Basically. I'm running about 5 to 6 roas right now. Cold email has started to do very well. I got a vsl, I had it done by Stephen which worked really well. And now it's getting to the point where I'm actually signing big legitimate clients and they're coming cold. And I had a few guys like your video was awesome and they're just paying and going. So that's ripping. And then I've actually got a friend who is running some ads on another platform in a very good way and it's starting to really succeed too. But I'm probably not going to give the sauce on that one but. Cause that's actually not something you guys are teaching in Client Ascension. So I'm going to keep that one tight lipped for now.
Okay. Okay, cool, cool. I think people in client ascension might be the only humans on the Planet. Who can manage getting a positive roas on Twitter ads? Like, actually.
Yeah, no, I mean, that's crazy. Yeah, it's really good. It's so cheap, man. It really is. But yeah, you gotta be dialed in five to six.
Row us is just like, absolutely so crazy for like a service business like yours. And it's high value. It's. It's good quality prospects too. It's not like garbage. There's always like, I've run Facebook lead form ads before and I found you just get like the dumbest things ever. Like the D people will get on a call and like, not even know why they're on the call. Or like, for some reason that the kind of person that like just books calls for no reason at all. But when you do it on Twitter the correct way, it's.
Yeah, people know who you are.
Extremely targeted. It's more of like a social type thing too because, like, you're. You're going through Facebook ads and it can be run from any page. Like, you can just spin up a page and the page doesn't have anything on it because people don't sit there and follow Facebook pages. But Twitter, it's like, no, no, no. If you're sitting here, like doing content marketing on Twitter and you run up a couple thousand followers, which is pretty easy, they're going to go to your profile and it's highly likely that people they follow follow you at this point.
And then it's a domino effect. Yeah, yeah. As we talked about though, it's actually tracking it is just abysmal, which sucks. And hopefully Elon's going to put some stuff in place that you can actually measure it and see on the platform what you're spending, what you're getting out. But right now it is very much just a manual process, which kind of sucks, but it is what it is.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I feel like Jerry rig it. I mean, you can screw around with UTM codes, but even then it gets.
It's.
It's too iffy, but it's. It. You know, it works though, because it's just.
Yeah.
Rocking. You're like, whoa, this is like, it's really nice. But on your ascent to 70k a month, are there any. Were there any, like, breaking points or like, pivotal moments where maybe something changed in your head where you're like, oh, I'm so dumb for having not done that before.
The big moment was actually when I was starting to work on my sales calls. So basically, in a past, like back when I was in college, I Sold like high end headphones at Bose. And I was the number one sales associate as a part timer in California. And so I was going on my calls for hire UA with the impression of the same thing and I realized, wait a minute, why was I so good at Bose? Is because I was really just an order taker, right? It was just up to me not to screw it up. They did all the marketing, they had the brand recognition and as soon as I put that together, like, no, no, no, everything is colder. This is a totally different approach. It was like a light bulb. But then I said, why don't I just make everything warmer? Why don't I up the ad spend? Why don't I get the vsl? Why don't I hammer people with daily emails when they opt into stuff? Why am I getting them to the call cold? And of course now it's the BSL is working so well that they're actually showing up cold and it's still converting. But I'm like, why am I going to make it harder for myself? Why am I going to make it harder for my closer who I just am bringing on next week? Like, why get people as warm as possible and then just sit back? And now it's to the point where I'm on calls and I'm just waiting for the objection and it's just like smooth and I'm just like at the end like, you ready to get started? Yeah. Okay. And there's just no hesitation. Yeah, pretty much.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's this, it's so funny when people come into client extension and I'm telling them, okay, you don't have a VSL on your page. So you're gonna show up to these VSL calls, we're gonna write the VSL script, we're gonna get it filmed and they're like, oh, I have to do a vsl. It's like, bro, you don't understand the night and day difference between having a VSL and not having a VSL. And I, it's, it's not like a, like a 20% increase. It is an order of magnitude night and day difference between you have a good VSL and you don't. It's so much easier and your life is, it's so much better. It's people, people do everything to make their lives harder. And you just said it really well there. Where it's like, that is, that's just one of those optimizations where it's like, it's, it's night and day. Your life is so Much easier. And all you simply have to do is spend a couple hours writing a vsl. It's pretty simple. And then now your sales calls are easier. You get more sales calls in the first place, you get less objections.
Yep.
It's just, it makes so much sense.
Yep. I didn't do any of it myself. I was, I looked at it, I went to a call, I was like, no, I don't want to do this. So I just hired Steve and he did a good job. But yeah, that's already paid itself off. It went live on October 25th and it's already been itself off. What's today? 10th November? Yeah, it's already been.
Yeah, he, he, I was talking to him, he was like, Kyle sent me like three messages.
Tell me, dude, it's just. Yeah, so smooth now. It's so easy.
So great. So where, where, where are you gonna take this from here? Are you the kind of person who wants to get it to like 500k a month or do you want to like sell this business?
So I'm very torn on that at times because on one hand I lived in Ukraine for five years, My wife is Ukrainian, my daughter's Ukrainian, just born about seven weeks ago. And I love the people of the country. Right. So right now what I'm doing is really giving good people good jobs and also get to help a lot of people in the west who are also struggling because of, you know, inflation, economy, blah, blah, blah. So they're now getting really good premium talent and they're not paying an arm and a leg out of it. So it is at the same time a tricky business on both sides of the equation. So instead of just having clients, I've also got candidates who can be fickle. And of course you guys know that clients can be fickle. So that's the tough thing. I can't see myself doing it forever. Do I have like a firm exit plan at this moment? No. But I can't see myself running it day to day for the rest of my life. Certainly not right now. I'm trying to get myself out of the weeds because it's just grown so much. Obviously I'm working basically 12 hour days and I, I'm sitting out here in the freezing cold talking to you just so I can have a break from my desk. But I'm going to onboard probably three team members by tomorrow. They'll be starting next week. So right now the goal is just huge growth. Step on the gas, don't let off the pedal and see how fast It'll run and then I'll evaluate in a year or so what I want to do potentially would just also be open to maybe somebody buying it out. And I'm just like a consultant and keep some equity in the company, but I don't have to be day to day. At the same time, my team is really taking huge steps up, man. Like really. So they may be in the next few months, I might be out of the day to day weeds, which would be good. Sweet.
If somebody is running a B2B business marketing agency, they're a consultant, they're a freelancer and they're thinking about joining Client Ascension, what would you say to them and what would you say they're going to learn the most inside here?
You're going to learn the macro picture, which is really important. And that really comes down to like try everything and go all in on everything. Like don't just buy four domains and then start sending cold emails like, you know, I am ripping, what is it, 400 a day now, Right. So you just have to go hard everywhere. And you know, you say this all the time and it's not a joke. You just have to go all in. Doesn't mean you have to work 15 hour days all the time. But you need to be dedicated, focused work. You need to just keep your foot on the gas. And when you start feeling that momentum, that's when you pour more gas on the fire. Right? That's not when you say, oh, it's going good, let's sit back. No, you have to go further. And then of course the nitty gritty stuff, you know, the sales, obviously very helpful. All the nuances of cold email, you know, you're going to get help on everything. And you know, like I don't like to jerk around with huge long meetings. You know, I've had a corporate job. So what I found really helpful is I can get a guy like David or Christian or you, we can be on the phone for 10 minutes and my problem's just solved. I know what to do next. I didn't waste anyone's time, I didn't waste your time and it's just go do it. So that's what I would say is you're gonna get a lot of the nitty gritty details in 10 minute calls and that's gonna be extremely helpful as well as just an overall picture. And of course just the network effect of being around people who are actually doing it is something that you, you can't really put a value on. I'd say dope.
Thanks for that very much Kyle. Anybody who would be interested in getting a VA who is in a very affordable rate, not even a VA. Project.
Manager, CTOs, CMOs, automation engineers, devs, project managers, CSMs, anything, all of that.
I'm gonna leave a link to Kyle's website below. I'm also gonna leave a link to his Twitter account so you can connect with him. But he has a lot of people in client extension get employees from him. It's really great business. So if you guys are interested in that, links are in the description. Kyle Brother, thank you so much for coming on.
Take care.
