Daniel Fazio recommends a multi-format posting strategy to increase podcast viewership: publish very long full-episode videos for background/listening audiences, extract and post many 3–7 minute clips for viewers with medium attention spans, and create YouTube Shorts for short-form scrollers — thereby covering multiple audience behaviors.
Chapters
I'm still experimenting and trying to learn how to get people to watch the entirety of things. But like, for instance, just with this podcast, I was telling Andre, I was like, here's the plan. You do really long podcasts, like really, really long. Like it could be an hour, hour and a half, two hours. Because the kind of person who's going to watch that might, they might be at the gym and they just leave it on. So they do that. And then there's another category of people, whether they're not at the gym or they're not playing background stuff and they, they're maybe they're just sitting on their bed and like their attention span is going to go between per video, like three to seven minutes. So I was telling Andre, find three to seven minute clips from the podcast and post a ton of those. And then there's the people who are scrolling YouTube shorts. Okay, go get YouTube shorts from the podcast and post all those. So you're hitting every single avenue.
