Short transcript excerpt from a YouTube interview (Daniel Fazio) in which Fazio describes a core mistaken belief early in his entrepreneurship career: he thought success/wealth required being "invited" to a secret club. He explains that this belief inhibited his growth and counters it—arguing that success is accessible to anyone who acts as if they are 'ordained' for it and simply engages with others to enter that club.

What is one genuine core belief that you had early in your entrepreneurship career that was completely wrong and that inhibited your growth earlier?
That having a successful business or being wealthy or having something that would allow you freedom was kind of like a secret club. You had to be invited to the club. You do not have to be invited to the club. You can just walk into the club and make friends with people, and then you will gradually be allowed inside of the club. You have to operate under the assumption as if you are ordained to have this. Like you have been gifted the power, the knowledge, and the capability to have precisely what you are looking for. You are not shut out, the door is not locked. You can simply walk inside of it.
