You want to know what the biggest predictor of success in business is? Do you require permission to do anything? Or do you operate under your own intuition and test things yourself? This is coming from somebody who's worked with literally thousands of clients. And I can tell you it is the most frustrating thing when you're working with somebody and they can't even do the simplest possible thing without getting permission from you to do it. Should I send this follow up message over here? Should I send this cold dm? Should I post this piece of content? If you constantly, constantly need permission from somebody to do anything at all, you're going to move too slow because the feedback loop is too long for you to figure out anything. There's a fine line between learning from somebody else's failures versus being completely incapable of operating in any capacity at all without their express permission. Make decisions faster. Stop being so slow. Test things yourself and learn what works by doing. And if what you did doesn't work, just deal with the consequences. It's fine, it's okay to fail. You'll just fix it next time. But if you're constantly in a perpetual and debilitating state of fear because you absolutely need somebody to tell you what to do, what this is telling you and what you're trying to do here is offload responsibility of your life onto somebody else. What you want to happen is if this decision failed, I want to be able to blame you instead of blaming myself. That's what this behavior stems from. And if you want to operate any kind of success in business or success in any aspect of life, you cannot be doing this.
