The TRUTH About Selling AI Automation (Nobody Tells You This)

In this video Daniel Fazio explains why generic AI consulting or automation services are almost impossible to sell to cold prospects and how to turn AI expertise into a profitable agency. He distinguishes between warm‑traffic offers (vague AI builds) and cold‑traffic offers (specific, quantifiable "new‑money" offers) and shows how to create the latter by delivering a concrete, guaranteed result within a set timeframe. Fazio advises building warm traffic through free, documented work that is shared as content, then leveraging that credibility to develop "specific builds"—AI‑powered solutions that solve a clearly defined problem (e.g., freight‑quote automation with a revenue‑increase guarantee). He recommends selling these specific builds on a performance‑based pricing model, especially for beginners lacking case studies, so payment is tied to delivered outcomes, which also generates proof for future sales. The video also outlines the proven agency model of using AI to fulfill existing agency services (lead generation, ads, content) and stresses that the bulk of a successful business is marketing and sales, not fulfillment. Finally, Fazio promotes two products: a low‑ticket $17 AI Income Kit for building simple AI apps, and his higher‑ticket AI‑Assisted Agency program with a money‑back guarantee that teaches how to acquire clients, build AI‑enabled offers, and scale to $10‑30K+ months.

Some offers are too vague to directly sell. So any kind of AI automation or AI build fits into this category. And that can be very confusing because you've probably seen a million and a half people say AI is the greatest thing of this generation and you can make a bajillion dollars a year by selling AI consulting to companies because everyone wants AI, you know, all this fucking nonsense. But what actually happens in practice is if you attempt to sell AI consulting, with outbound marketing, it doesn't work. And the only people actually making any money around AI consulting are people who are getting their traffic from content. So like, why is this? And what if you don't have an audience and you're not making content about AI? Can you still actually make money with AI consulting or AI automations? And the answer is no. And what I'm going to do in this video is walk you through exactly how this all functionally works and how to actually go about this AI thing and make money with it in regards to the AI automation space. If you don't know me, my name is Daniel Fazio. We make about $1 million a month across a software company, a consulting company. I'll leave links to everything down in the description if you're not aware of who I am, but that's what I do. And I just make videos on the internet about how you can make more money. So let's get into it. So let's make a quick delineation between like AI offers. So there's something called an AI-assisted agency, and that's kind of what I teach. And what that is, is you take a standard agency offer like email marketing, advertising, ad creatives, lead generation, and you sell that already working proven offer, but you just use AI for the fulfillment. And that's generally what seems to be a better route for most people. But there's also another section of AI automation where what you are attempting to sell is literally like AI itself. Like, imagine it's like 1997. Or 1998 and you're selling like internet consulting. That's like literally what this is and your conception of what it will be like 20 years from now into the future. So where the problem stems with a lot of people is that most of you guys who have attempted to sell AI consulting or AI automation or AI builds is that you've probably sent cold emails or cold outreach or maybe even cold calling or like walked into somebody's business, like attempting to sell it as AI consulting or I'll build you stuff with AI. And what you probably quickly found is that nobody actually buys that and you don't get very many responses and you don't really get people who are particularly interested in purchasing the thing for you. So it's a difficult offer to get people to be interested in. But at the same time, how are there thousands, if not like literally all of the billionaires are saying like you can make $1 million a year doing this? How does that make sense then? Like, how is it that you go try to sell this? It doesn't work, but everyone's saying it's the best thing ever. Well, it stems from the understanding that there's a difference between a warm traffic offer and a cold traffic offer. So this video might get slightly complex, but stick with me here because this is all like pretty integral stuff you need to understand. Basically, two things that we need to address. First is direct AI offers versus open-ended AI offers. And then after that, new money offers versus those AI offers. So let's just get into this real quick and just talk about direct AI offers versus open-ended. AI offers. So 2 years ago, this guy named Ryan Hildebrandt— probably find him online— he joined Client Ascension at the beginning of what would like be considered like AI automation. Like, this was not a thing yet at all. Like, ChatGPT was first starting to become a thing. Like, this was not common in any capacity whatsoever. Like, nobody ran this business. But this is what he wanted to sell because he knew how to automate stuff. He knew how to implement OpenAI API calls into workflows that would like use generative AI to like reason through specific things in a workflow. It was like the first inception of what would considered AI automation workflows. Now, immediately, like, upon hearing this, I knew this was going to be difficult to sell to cold traffic. And the reason why was because it's not what I call a new money offer. Like, we'll get, we'll get into that in a second. But let me tell you the strategy that he ended up running with that actually worked for it. Okay. So he was in a group of a bunch of agency owners. What I told him to do is go inside of this group and just offer to do free work for a bunch of people. And in exchange for the free work, you get to make content out of the thing that you just did. So you get some agency owner and they have some problem. I don't know, maybe they run a lead generation agency and they need to register a bunch of domains and spin up a bunch of inboxes and come up with campaign ideas for each client when they onboard them. Like, he would go and build some AI automation workflow that would do that for the person, and then he would take that and he'd make a video on it. He'd make a Twitter thread on it. He posted on LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, everywhere. The guy would just post what he did for free. And this was not like a one-off thing he did. I was like, this is your marketing strategy. Now, you can get people— you could do it for people in Client Extension. You should also go do it with other groups and other people on the internet and just build free stuff for them and document online what it is you're actually building. Why would I tell them to do that? The answer is to build warm traffic. Because as I alluded to earlier in this video, I was literally just saying that you can't sell this to cold traffic because it's not a new money offer. Again, we'll get into that in a second. But the entire strategy revolved around him just getting stuff to post online in the first place that exemplified his expertise. Because the thing with AI automations or automations of any kind is that if you go to a client and you try to explain to them, hey, I can automate stuff in your business, what they think is like, I don't know what to automate. So what you need to actually do is show examples of stuff that has been automated for other people, then this gets their head churning and they're like, well, could you do this for me? And the answer to that is typically, yeah, I could in fact do that for you. Now, what generally happens is if you have one specific industry or one specific niche, normally over time what will happen is if they all generally operate the same way, people in that niche will in the long run gravitate towards requesting the same exact thing because they tend to all have the same exact problem. What does that mean that you're able to do? It means that you have now discovered what I call a specific build. Now, the difference between a specific build versus general AI automation or AI consulting is that a specific build accomplishes a specific result in a quantifiable way, normally within a quantifiable amount of time. What does that mean? It means that you can take your specific build and morph it into a new money offer. And it's not vague, like, I'll build stuff for you. When you have a new money offer with the quantifiable result that is achieved within the quantifiable amount of time, what that means is that when you run outreach for that instead of vague automation builds, you actually get responses because now you have what is called a cold traffic offer.. And when you have a cold traffic offer, you can convert cold traffic. It's really that simple because your vague automations building is a warm traffic offer. Now, I made a video a while back on my YouTube channel. I'm gonna link it down below. Cause it's actually a really good video that the thumbnail was like a side-by-side, just warm traffic offers and cold traffic offers. It just explains the difference between the two. But basically what I said in the video, what I need to reiterate to you now is that having a warm traffic offer is not necessarily a bad business model. It's just that if you have a warm traffic offer, for instance, like AI automation or AI consulting, the way you need to get clients is by building warm traffic, i.e., posting content on the internet. And that's the only way it will ever work for you at all, ever. Zero exceptions. You can't do outreach for a warm traffic offer and sell it to cold traffic. It doesn't work like that. If you want cold traffic to work for you, you need a cold traffic offer, flat out. And that's normally what the issue is with a lot of people. It's that you emulate people you see on the internet or you listen to what they tell you. But none of these people explain, like, how the business is actually sold, like how they even get customers in the first place. There's this misconception in business for people who really haven't done much at all, or they're just beginning. And it's that you, you are under the belief that most of the work of a company is fulfilling for clients. Like, that's what you think. Like your job is going to entail. Like, you think you're going to be sitting there, like, fulfilling for clients. That's, that's what you believe a business is. That's not true. That's about 33% of the work of a successful company. Another 33% of the work of a successful company is marketing and lead generation, and the next 33% is sales. So 66%, roughly, of the work of a company that will actually make you a substantial amount of money has absolutely nothing to do with fulfilling for clients at all. The problem is that you see stuff like you can make a bajillion dollars with the AI consulting company. You don't understand though, is that that's a warm traffic offer. If you make the decision to not make content online, but you still want to sell AI consulting or AI automation, you're just going to make exactly $0. You either need to do what I just said is find a specific build with the quantifiable result within a quantifiable time period and ideally slap a guarantee on it., and then you can sell it to cold traffic and you can do stuff like cold email, cold traffic ads. It will work like that. If you don't want to do that, your only option is that you need to make content online. There are no alternatives. That flat out is the only way that this will ever work for you ever. So we just talked about AI offers. So it was like an open-ended AI offer is like AI automation, AI, AI builds, like stuff like that. A specific AI offer is like a specific build of— I'll give you one for instance. You build freight logistics quoting software. And what this does is it makes it so that a freight company can send quotes immediately instead of having somebody manually do it. And you're going to guarantee that they will get 30% more revenue by implementing this inside of their business. And if they don't make immediately 30% more revenue, their business, they don't pay you a dime. That would probably work. You know what I'm saying? It's a specific build. For a specific person. Now, what's important before we move on here is that you can't make this shit up. Like, I just said a specific build, and like, what you're gonna do is you're gonna like— maybe you'll go take the transcript of this video, put it into Claude, and be like, hey, come up with some specific builds for me. That's the problem, is that Claude doesn't know active market dynamics. It doesn't work. You can't just fucking come up with something. If it was so easy to come up with the offer that was successfully going to make you a tremendous amount of money, everyone would be a millionaire. But they're not. It's difficult. There's not a lot of stuff that is being actively, successfully sold. That's a huge problem I see with a lot of people. People are very concerned avoiding saturation, and what they do to avoid saturation is go make some random shit up that sounds good on paper, but then they try to sell it to cold traffic and it doesn't work. Like, why is this not working? And the answer is that you are under the deluded expectation. If something just is unique, that it's going to work because you are associating the word unique with good. You think unique equals good, but that's not true. What it actually means is unique is equal to unproven, and you don't want to do things that are unproven. That's not what you want to do. I want you to imagine, like, real quick before we move on, is you are a pigeon and I give you two options as a pigeon. You have to understand the, like, the concept of what's happening here with the pigeon is that as you are trying to find food, to scavenge food, and if you don't find food, you're going to starve and die. Now, you as a pigeon are presented with two offers by me. I say, Your hunting grounds can either be a highly trafficked tourist area with a bunch of food carts and restaurants and whatnot, or a back alley where nobody goes. But in situation 1, with the tourist area, is all the other pigeons are there too. So there's a lot of competition. But you can just go to the back alley where nobody is instead because no one's there. It's not saturated. Which do you choose? And the answer is obviously number 1. Why? Because the stakes are very high. You need something that's like, there is food there. And number 2, it's like, there just isn't food. Like when you try to come up with something unique, the problem, you think it's going to sell, but just does it like 99% of the time. It just, it just doesn't. Like you try to make shit up and you just flat out fail. Stop being worried about saturation and start being worried about selling something that has active market demand. That is more important to do. If you just focus on that, you'll make your first $100 million. When you're, when you're trying to go from $100 million to being like you have like $100 billion, you can worry about trying to be unique. So go with that instead. Okay, so let's move on here. Talking about new money offers versus AI offers. So earlier in this video, I talked about like there's AI-assisted agency offers versus like this AI-type offers where it's like AI automations, AI builds, and whatnot. So for anyone who regularly watches my channel, you've probably seen the models I'm talking about. So like, for instance, a lead generation agency, an ads or funnels agency, a content marketing agency, and an e-commerce email marketing agency. What is the difference between these and the AI offers? Well, the first is that, as I was just talking about, they're all proven offers. Now, it's very interesting when I say something like you should start a lead generation agency and someone goes, well, everyone's doing that. It's a very simple response in that who needs leads? And the answer is every single company on the planet. This is a trillion-dollar market. There are hundreds of thousands, if not millions of people making millions of dollars selling leads to other businesses. This is easily probably the largest market on the entire planet. In it, like besides like food and housing. In terms of B2B markets, like selling leads to companies, like companies just buy leads, like they just do. Let me give you, for instance, there's a lot of oil in the world, right? There's a lot of people sell oil, there's a lot of countries that produce oil. It's very competitive market, oil. Very— it's very saturated. But if you dig a hole in your backyard and you find an oil well, you're about to be a billionaire. Why? Because people buy oil. It's really simple. It's the same as lead generation. If you know how to generate leads for a company, you can just sell leads because everyone wants to buy leads. It's easy to sell leads. It's the same thing as oil. If, if you have leads, somebody will purchase the leads. If you, if you know how to generate leads, somebody is going to buy your system for generating leads like 100% of the time. It's not going to not happen. Everyone needs oil. If a company lacks leads, they literally go bankrupt. Like it's the equivalent of food. Like you will do anything if you are starving and have not eaten in 3 days, like you're imminently going to die. You literally need to buy the lead. It's always so stupid of a concept, but it's so, it's so saturated. It's just dumb. It's like actually stupid, right? Okay. So if we have a lead generation agency or an ads and funnels agency or a content agency, it's very easy to make a quantifiable promise when you sell this offer. So that is a primed cold traffic offer. Like I'll give you, for instance, if you go to a company and this is a B2B company that sells a $10,000 or $20,000 or $30,000 product, like through a sales call and you tell them, I'll get you qualified sales calls and you pay me $300 for every qualified sales call I get you. What does that mean? It means that if you can book them 20 sales calls in a month, they will pay you $6,000. This is like the most common offer among most people who successfully go from zero to say like $30,000 per month with an agency. That's just what it is. Now, ultimately, if you think about like an ads and funnels agency, that's just a different way of generating leads. Or if you think about like a content agency where it's like, I help clients build content systems. Ultimately, at the end of the day, the only reason the client buys content systems is so that they can generate more leads. You know what I'm saying? Generate more calls booked or generate more clients. So like ultimately you actually still are a lead generation agency. It all goes down to, it's just you are figuring out how to generate leads with some system and then selling the leads to clients in whatever the fuck way. Like it could be on a performance basis where it's a cost per call. It can be on a retainer plus a revenue share. It's just ultimately it's you're selling them leads. So what that means is that you just need to figure out how to generate them leads, which is exactly the shit that I teach inside of my program, AI Assistant Agency. So if you watch my channel, you probably regularly see me post case studies like people who go from $0 to $20K a month in 3 months or $0 to $30K a month in 3 months or something like that. Now, does every single person get those results? No, I'm posting the best ones. What you'll see is if you go watch through those videos, like one, they joined the program and two, 2, they followed what I said. And 3, they're selling the offer I told them to sell. And 4, they're selling it to the people I told them to sell it to. And 5, they're implementing the exact client acquisition and lead generation systems that I am instructing them and giving them access to for, one, their own business and for their clients' business. That's literally what's happening here. It's a very simple, straightforward way of just making a successful cash-flowing agency. It's really just that simple. Now, if you're a beginner, you may have an objection. And say something like, well, Daniel, how am I going to get somebody to pay me money if I have no case studies and I ask them for money? They're going to say, why should I trust you? Because you have no social proof. So, so it's valid. I mean, statistically, like the probability that if this person pays you money as a beginner who has no proof, probability that they lose their money is actually pretty high. Like realistically, like, I mean, like if we actually put ourselves in the shoes of the prospect and analyze the situation from their end, to give a beginner money is like that's kind of stupid. Like, why would you do that? Like, you're probably just going to lose your money. That's like, how do, how do we counteract that? How, how do we make it so that when you're a beginner, you can get people to still pay you? And the answer is by offering your stuff on a performance basis. So like, for instance, as I just said, you're not charging them a $3,000 retainer or a $5,000 retainer because it's going to be very difficult for you, a beginner, to get a stranger to pay you $3,000 or $5,000 upfront when you have zero social proof, probably not a lot of authority on the internet in any capacity at all. Zero case study, zero track record, zero people to vouch for you. All roads are just leading us to believe that, like, no one's paying you money upfront. So, so how do you counteract that? You tell them to pay you as the result occurs. Like, I'm gonna do the thing for you. When you get a call booked, you pay me when the call gets booked. And then I'm gonna book you another qualified call and you're gonna pay me more. And then after you get another one, you're gonna pay me more. And that's how you do it. You tell them to pay you as the result occurs. What, what does that also mean? Because you as a beginner, you might be scared. Even if someone was willing to pay you money upfront, it's like, well, what if I can't do it? In which case, like, if you're not like a fucking psychopath, like, you'll probably just refund the money anyway, but you don't have to go through doing that and then like refunding money. You know what I'm saying? So selling on a performance basis is not only for the client, it's also for you so that you don't have to give refunds. Like you get paid when the result occurs and there is no refund. Like they got the result, therefore, like how would they be entitled to a refund when you already got them the result? You know what I'm saying? Then you get them more results next week and then more results next week and you get paid weekly for the results that you generate that week. And then what happens is now you've generated results for somebody and you can prove to other people that you generate results. You can make a case study out of it. You have social proof. And then gradually over time, one, you are actually becoming better at generating results, like you're just getting better at it. And two, you can start charging money upfront on top of performance-based pricing. That's what happens over time is the pricing model. As you generate social proof and more authority for yourself, gradually shifts in your favor. Why? Because that's what you're able to command in the market. Due to that increase of social proof that you acquire over time. That's how it works. Okay. If you're interested in working with me, we help people reach $10K a month, $20K a month, $30K a month pretty regularly. And you can see that in the case studies. I'm not promising you get that result, but it does happen. I got two things for you. First is that we launched a $17 course called the AI Income Kit, and that just teaches how to build like some prebuilt AI apps. Like, that is not going to make you a lot of money. It's straight up not., it's just for you to sign like a $500 client and just like experience like signing a singular client. Like it's really not going to scale beyond like one-time things. Like it's not, that's not that kind of course. This is like, that's meant to be like introduction to you making money in any capacity on the internet at all. You get what I'm saying? Like it is not like an insane thing. What is the insane thing that gets the insane results is the AI-Assisted Agency Program, which also has a 100% money-back guarantee. That is the program where you see people hitting $10K, $20K, $30K, K, sometimes 50K a month. I'm going to leave that link in the second link in the description. We give you exactly what offer to sell to exactly what niches, show you exactly how to get clients and show you how to get results for your clients. So like, for instance, if we're talking about like, oh, I want to do an AI automation thing, like we literally will show you like building live projects from clients from zero to something, you know what I'm saying? Or like, if you're going to run a lead generation agency, we show you how to implement all of the lead generation systems. Using AI. It's just, it's literally just an AI-enabled agency. How to build a proper agency that makes $30,000+ per month by using AI systems. So that would be the second link in the description. I'll leave that in there. If you got any value from this video, like, subscribe, all that stuff. All right. Peace. That's it for me. See you in the next one.
