Second Samuel 12:24 it says this then David comforted Bathsheba, his wife and slept with her. She became pregnant and gave birth to a son and David named him Solomon. The Lord loved this child. Wait a minute, wait a minute. It said his wife. Didn't David have an affair with Bathsheba? Yes he did.
I mean it was just so messy. The hope and the redemption that we see is that this marriage and the child that came from it, Solomon ended up being something God blessed. He blessed this union. He blessed their child. Solomon, the hope that we have there is that you can commit to Jesus right where you are right now and allow his grace to bring redemption and healing and he can write a beautiful story through you. You can't go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and you can change the ending and you can make it something, something beautiful. There's such hope in that.
