(posted July 12, 2026). It is a breaking-news monologue from the Geopolitical Trends channel in which a single presenter reports that Iran's IRGC announced a closure of the Strait of Hormuz to maritime traffic and threatened strikes on U.S. military bases, stating the closure will remain "until further notice" and until what the IRGC calls American interference ends. The clip is a news update rather than a multi‑speaker conversation.

Hello everyone and welcome to Geopolitical Trends, where truth matters. I got breaking news for you. In a sudden escalation now that reshuffled the economic, the military, the geopolitical cards, the IRGC just announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz and the prevention of ships from passing through until further notice. We don't know when. And by the way, The IRGC also threatened now to target U.S. military bases in the region if it launches new attacks on Iran. And of course, this Iranian announcement of the complete— that's the key word— a complete closure of the Strait of Hormuz to maritime traffic came after the IRGC accused some ships of attempting to cross through unauthorized unauthorized routes, which they mean this is going to be like a foreign interference in a regular navigation in the strait. And as you know, is the IRGC that controls the navigation there. So the IRGC, the Revolutionary Guard Navy, reported by the Iranian TV that said that now the Strait of Hormuz will be closed till further notice. We don't know what it means. So, and of course, they put one condition, and that condition is until what it described as an American interference in the region ended. And stressing, this is what the Revolutionary Guard Navy stressed, that no ship will be allowed to pass through. So it's very, very significant development. That's why I wanted to come on the air and, and really share this with you, for you at least to know what's going on. I will be providing more detail about this very, very soon, especially when I confirm certain other information. So stay tuned and remember to subscribe. I will see you next time. Take care. Bye.
