Hello everyone and welcome to Geopolitical Trends. My name is David Oualaalou. So good to be with you as always. Macron of France, the French president, is accusing Russia of seeking to— get this, guys— destabilize Africa. Is Macron licking his wounds after being kicked out of Africa? In this video, I am going to provide you a brief analysis about the geopolitical game France is playing with Russia, of course to no avail, knowing how the former— meaning France— is no longer welcome in Africa. But before I'll do this, I'd like to extend my thanks to the channel's members and supporters. And for you, if this is your first time landing on this channel here, welcome to our community. I'm glad to have you here. So let's dive in into this. Macron French president calls Russia one of the— get this, guys— few colonial powers of the 21st century. End of quote. That's crazy statement, let alone coming from France. You know, French President Emmanuel Macron accusing now Russia of seeking to destabilize Africa and make choices that are not— this is according to what Macron is saying— are not in the interest of the international community. End of quote. And this, by the way, it was a statement he just said in, uh, on the sideline, uh, of the summit in Paris that's taking place. That's crazy talk. So if Macron is saying that Russia was a destabilizing force in Africa through a private militia, uh, basically that's what he's saying, that abusing the civilians You know, that's just crazy. That's just crazy. Because the history of France in Africa is no brighter. Ask Africans and they will tell you, because the media, what is— are cherry-picking the type of information that will be releasing, uh, about the atrocities that France committed in Africa. So, so He's arguing, Macron that is, that Moscow, rather, or Russia, found itself, and I put this in quote, guys, in a situation where it does not respect international law and has become one of the few colonial powers of the 21st century by waging colonial wars against neighboring Ukraine, end of quote. Oh, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute. Didn't he, Macron, NATO collective West, respected and honored their commitments to not expand NATO eastward? Did he, France, Macron in this case, return the stolen treasure back to Africa? You know, I can think of a country in Africa, and I am very little familiar with— not little, I'm familiar with Africa. As a matter of fact, I went to Ivory Coast way back a few years ago, and there's a lot of French presence over there. I went to Djibouti, a lot of French presence down there. Of course, Mali, Niger. Well, the country I'm going to talk about briefly here is Niger. Why? Because Niger has many gold mines. Yeah, believe it or not, Niger is rich in gold. But almost has zero reserves. And you guys know why? It's because all the deposits, they are made to what's called Banque de France. It's a French word for Bank of France. That's why they have zero, which means any, any profit from that gold goes to a French bank. Doesn't stay in Niger. In other words, Niger doesn't benefit from it. You know, the bottom line to it is that France is losing the economic sort of, uh, uh, power or racket, whatever you want to call it, by— that was issued by none other than former president of France, De Gaulle, General De Gaulle at that time. So it's— it was known at that time as De Gaulle, the CFA franc, which was imposed, uh, on, on the colonies. So what is, by the way, what is CFA franc? Just to give you a brief history on it, like other colonial empires before, the UK with its sterling zone, the Portuguese with its escudo zone, France had its franc zone. That's now— it's known as CFA franc. So it was originally the French African colonial franc, the currency which was officially created on December 26th, 1945 by a decree signed by General de Gaulle at that time. It is a colonial currency born of France's need to foster economic integration among colonies under its administration. But what is the really objective of it? The objective was to control their resources, those colonies, their resources, economic structure, and political system. That's what it is. So now France being asked by Mali to get out, other, other locations in France are kicking France out. So France is turning now, oh, it's Russia that's destabilizing Africa, when in matter of fact most African country now side with Russia, not France, not the West. So they side with both, with Russia and China. Because especially when it comes down to China, China bringing them economic ventures, not a conflict. So, so one of the journalists asked Macron, and I can tell just by the nature of a question that that thing was set up. Journalists, by the way, guys, just FYI, they are the back door of the government. Usually you see them in some summits or conferences or whatever, and they'll be given the opportunity to ask questions. Well, this question have been pre-approved, so that's why I don't— especially when I read up on this article about it. So, well, when he was asked, President Macron, about his reaction, what will his reaction be if the Russian president called him? Well, wait a minute, what make you think that President Putin is gonna give you a call in the first place? That's what it tells me personally as an analyst. It tells me that the question was pre-approved and it was worded that way to show this is where the geopolitical game that I mentioned earlier, they are playing in Africa to no avail. France is gone. So, so he said, well, Macron responded, and I put it in quotes for you because it would be his word. I will definitely answer, adding that if he calls me to suggest something, I will respond because France has always been a facilitating and mediator power, end of quote. That's nonsense. If France was a mediator, they would have stepped in regarding the Ukraine-Russia conflict. You know, as a matter of fact, France was the one pushing for sending military aid to France. Because remember, one thing I want you guys to remember about Macron— Macron, Emmanuel Macron, is World Economic Forum trainee. He went through the process with World Economic Forum, no different than the, the dictator Prime Minister Trudeau, no different than the former Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern of New Zealand, no different than the former Prime Minister of Finland. She was just some sort of an administrator of sorts. She didn't— she was too young anyway. So, but here is what's interesting about Macron. You can just see that stupidity, you know. They think that they understand the game of geopolitics when in reality they don't. So Macron, he pointed out that, and I put this in quote again, the resumption of dialogue will only be possible if international law is respected, which is the only one that allows us to live, to live in peace, end of quote. What the heck are you saying, Macron? Do you realize the hypocrisy you are exempt sort of exemplifying, you are showing the rest of the world that you say one thing and do another. You know, that just doesn't make any sense, you know. And let alone, uh, Macron has expressed interest in joining BRICS. How the heck can you be saying stuff like this and you want to be part of a group where— or bloc, economic bloc— where Russia is? That just defies logic. I can't think of any other word than hypocrisy. That's what it is. So what Macron also added, that Macron, he stressed that there was no reason for him, meaning Macron, at the moment to take the initiative to contact the Russian president. What make you again? I just find it ludicrous. What made him think that the Russian president would be just sitting and waiting for a call from Macron? And why will the Russian president even entertain the idea of taking a phone call from none other than a hypocrite Western leaders? You know, it's just common sense. And this is where you see statement like this don't make any sense whatsoever. So, because in his arguments, the time has come for negotiations on the Ukraine terms. Well, wait a minute, aren't you the one France, in this case, along with the rest of the Western world, turned down Chinese initiative. They are now turning down African, the 7 countries from Africa that want to Ukraine and want to Russia. You know, the West not even saying a word about it. You know, I don't see any coverage on it on the media, and I read through, you know, before I come on the air here, guys, I check on my stuff. To make sure to see where it's covered and where it's not, you know. And for him to be saying this, that tells you they are— France in this case— collectively craving attention on the international stage. That's how I see it. So, so the Kremlin response to this is that, uh, yes, kind of, we just confirmed it this morning, as a matter of fact. You know, uh, for them to establish— for the Russians establishing a constructive— that's in quote— constructive relations in Africa. And you can just see why majority of African countries did not vote in at the UN Security Council, did not vote at the UN when Russia launched its military operations, because They saw that Russia was acting within its own proper rights. You're expanding all the way to Russia's doorstep, what do you expect Russia is going to do? And this is when I see the statements by Macron, they are kind of— he, whomever advising him, they are empty words, hollow, nothing but a bravado, no more, no less. So even the Russian president, presidential rather, I'm sorry, Russian presidential spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, and he mentioned to reporters as well as a rebuke to what Macron said, and I put it in quote here: Russia waves with African countries friendly constructive relations based on mutual respect, end of quote. You know, he also added, and I put it in quote, it is not directed against other countries and cannot be. That tells me right there, you know, what Macron is saying is just to justify whatever, you know. He's not running for another term, so it's kind of now he can say whatever, because in France you only run for 2 terms of 7 years each, and that's it. But that's stupidity. That's again Western hypocrisy on display on the global stage. Right there. So here's my conclusion, because I like to keep these, uh, videos here brief, concise, and to the point. And like I always say, guys, if you like me to expand further, leave me a comment and I will do it on a live stream. So here's my conclusion for you, it's very, very brief. France is one of Ukraine's— just listen carefully, please— France is one of Ukraine's most prominent Western ally and a major material and military supporter during the ongoing conflict with Russia? I'll let you, I'll let you draw your own conclusion. So if you like the content of this video, please hit that like button, and if you like to support this channel, just subscribe. I will really appreciate it. As always, guys, remember, geopolitics impact your daily life in more ways than one. Till next time, guys, bye-bye.
