This content was created by David Oualaalou. This content was uploaded by David Oualaalou. This is a YouTube livestream/video titled "HONG KONG: Last Visit To Boardwalk And The Peak (Part 6)!" (published/recorded 2024-10-10). The excerpt is a single-speaker on-location vlog-style livestream from a host walking the Hong Kong boardwalk who talks to viewers about travel plans (leaving for mainland China the next day, possible return to Beijing), an unexpected meeting with a fan named Charles, and observations about local infrastructure and tourism. The host describes recent infrastructure (a tunnel/bridge connection to Macau, a 28-minute underwater tunnel), plans a future video comparing Chinese and U.S. infrastructure, touches on geopolitics and Special Administrative Regions (Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Tibet), and answers viewer chat briefly before signing off.

better called trends. Uh, all right, very excited to be with you guys. As I promised you yesterday, I will be doing the last, uh, uh, uh, video from here at the, uh, what you call it, the, uh, the walk right here, the, the boardwalk. Uh, let me just share a screen with you here. I want you to see something else. I'm gonna switch the screen here for you guys. Check this out. I know to those who've been around here, you've already seen this. But nonetheless, it is, it is, it is nice to see something different. So I wanted to just show you this one here, uh, as I am gonna be walking on the boardwalk a long way, all the way there. So I wanted to share this with you here, to show you and share a few things with you, uh, to talk about, uh, what the next location is. Unless you want to be on the video. She kind of, she ducked. So anyway, first of all, let me tell you about the most significant surprise of this trip. Is when I was walking today and someone just walked to me. That someone is Charles. He introduced himself, Charles. He just walked towards me. When we locked our eyes, I can see this guy have like some positive energy. Don't know him, so he just walked to me and shook hand and said, I enjoy your videos here in Hong Kong. What the heck, how do you know about me? It's like, yeah, I watch you, man. I truly appreciate your videos. That's why I did that, uh, short clip. I wanted to post that one for you guys just to see. But also, it's not about that. It is about the significance about nice people. You just never know who you may run into. And this is why I always say to those who get nasty in their comments, I said, no need to be nasty, just be kind. There is no need to. So anyway, it was, it was, I was so touched by Charles the I never thought of this one. So anyway, this is what I— that's the surprise. Second thing is I will be leaving tomorrow to my next destination. Of course I am not gonna disclose it. Yeah, you can guess, whatever. But that's the beauty of it. There are those who say, why doesn't he disclose this stuff? No, no, no, no, that's the beauty of it. So, but anyway, morning here in Hong Kong has come to an end here. Once again, I'm gonna just share the view with you guys here just to see. That's the panoramic view. It's well known, you see it a lot on postcards, and one of the things that sort of by the harbor here, it's well known. So I'm saying tomorrow I am returning to mainland. It's about time, and I miss being there because of the level of energy. I'll admit it, it's just a different vibes a different vibes on mainland. Nothing is wrong with Hong Kong, nothing against Hong Kong. It's just, you know, sometimes things can click and sometimes things don't. It did not click for me here in Hong Kong. So, but mainland, I just— it's almost felt right home, I'll be honest with you guys, the moment I landed. And now I'm— so anyway, I will be heading out tomorrow, and yes, I will get on the speed train. And yes, I will try the self-driving bus, the automated bus. I did ride a type of subway, it was self-driving. So I want to show you guys this boat here that is passing by. All right, there we go. So, uh, I didn't, I didn't want to get on the boat stuff. I don't I don't know, it's just not for me. I didn't come here for tourism, and that is my point, is because I wanted to share different, different things about, you know, the visit and its fact-finding. And for example, I'll give you a quick example. Yesterday, when I went over that bridge, the new one that just been established or opened in June, it was just incredible how that infrastructure is that paved the way now for the connection between Hong Kong and Macau in about 1 hour and a half drive on bus, or an hour. So the interesting aspects of it was about the 28 minutes, they timed it, 28 minutes in a tunnel, meaning that tunnel was underwater and is built that way. So that shows you when it comes down to infrastructure, how far China is. Very. And I am going to do a video regarding the comparison of the infrastructure in the US versus that of China. There is no comparison there. It pains me to say this, but it's the truth. My country is not investing in infrastructure because our system is corrupted to its core. And I don't shy away from saying this. Once again, it pains me. You know, I usually I'm not a jealous type, but when I see, for example, my first days in Shanghai and see how the streets are clean, people organized, infrastructure up to date, and I get jealous to see your country is wasting the tax dollars on irrelevant things and just fomenting tensions, wars, and so forth. You don't see China pushing for that. This is, this is one reality that a lot of people do not want. Uh, when I say people, I'm referring to Western media, I'm referring to, uh, Western governments. That is where that difference is. And I think here is again, uh, that famous shot here, guys, just for you to see. So there are a lot of people walking here at night because it's cooler, uh, temperature-wise. And it's a place where a lot of people just come over here and just visit. So a lot of younger people here. I don't know how many speak English here or not, but I'm sure they do. But they are, they are camera shy. They won't want to show up on a camera here, but I know rightly so. They don't, they don't feel comfortable. Once again, just to go back to my point about this infrastructure thing, and I will, I intend to do a comparison uh, later on at some point. I do things for a reason, guys. There are certain things that I don't talk much about. That doesn't mean I am not aware of or I will not do. I will. It's like, uh, so far I haven't talked to you about geopolitics at all for a reason. And when I get to the location where I need to talk about that, then I will address it because you need to know. And I am aware of certain— I'm keeping up with the what's going on, as far as the Middle East. And, uh, it's just I'm not gonna do any videos from here because this trip is about, uh, facts finding right here in China as a whole. So since now I'm in Hong Kong, so, uh, you know, you can see a lot of people walking here. So that is, uh, that's just part of, uh, I must tell you guys, I'm liking this stabilizer. So you can just see that there's another boat passing by here just for you to see. So there's a lot of tourists that sort of— some of them take this boat for a tour. It takes you from one end to the next, so that is usually how, uh, how it's going here. So, and they come in different colors. Sometimes you see a variety of colors here. So, oh, thank you, thank you, Versay. Yes, I will talk about geopolitics in due time. For now, I just want to focus about Uh, it's because, as I mentioned, the reason why I wanted to come over here is just to see the change happened in Hong Kong since they took the rollover from the British. Okay, here we go. So I just lost contact for a second here. Uh, can you guys hear me? If you guys can hear me and see me, please just, just give me thumbs up. Because I want to make sure because I lost connection. Uh, beautiful boardwalk. Yeah, thank you, James. So that means you guys can hear me and see me. So, and like I said, again, it's the idea of wanted to, uh, when I decided— oh, thank you, Versi, thank you. Can't hear you. Thanks, Kevin, appreciate it. Uh, the idea, guys, uh, when I decided the locations It was for a reason because I can't just come over to China and stay in Beijing. That just doesn't make any sense for me. Even though Beijing was not on my itinerary this time around, I am going to be planning to come back to China probably within a year. And one of the first destinations is going to be— it's going to be Beijing. Now, speaking of Beijing, while I'm thinking about it, yesterday some of you made the comments about when I mentioned about the SAR, the Special Administrative Regions. So thank you very much for those who have pointed out that for, in the case of Tibet and Xinjiang, those are autonomous. So I do appreciate you guys clarifying that. My conversation with someone, I got the word that those four were mentioned to me. Macau, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Tibet. So I kind of— that's the word I got. So I'm glad you guys clarified that one for me to understand, for me to understand also. And this is one of the things a lot of people, a lot of people do not know the history of this. I am hoping one day to visit those two locations, Tibet and Xinjiang. In due time. I just don't like to rush into all this. So anyway, as you notice, guys, uh, people are just strolling here, they're just hanging out, uh, there's nothing specific here. So it's boardwalk, uh, that's almost reminded me of certain parts in either Florida, in Miami, or even in Manhattan, but it's slightly different here. So, so, and here is the last view that I'm gonna do from here because I'm gonna return And, uh, I wanted to do this brief here, guys, for you. So, um, before I— because I promised you and I keep my word, I told you I will do a live stream for you guys. All right, uh, I am gonna sign off here. I know it's, it's a short— I decided to keep it short here. I'm gonna need to go see one particular location here. They said it's worth visiting at night.. And the, uh, I want to take a question or two, guys, before I sign off here. So if you have a quick question, I will be happy to answer it for you guys. Uh, let me see, nothing shows up on the screen yet. All right, so okay, from Beijing, take the high speed to Ornan. I know there's a high speed between Shanghai and Beijing, about 5 hours, I believe. Probably next time I'll do it. So that is for sure. I'm going to do that. So thanks, Kevin. Appreciate you, man. Enjoy the music. It's quiet here. So, all right, guys, I'm going to sign off here and I will look forward to seeing you in my next location after I leave Hong Kong tomorrow. So, okay, look forward to seeing you. As always, remember, geopolitics impact your daily life. Let me get it back here. As always, remember, geopolitics impact your daily life in more ways than one. Till next time, guys. Bye-bye.
