Russia Strikes Ukraine as Putin Warns the West!!!

David Oualaalou analyzes Russia's missile strikes on Kyiv following the Crimean Bridge attack. Russia launched long-range missiles and Iranian-made drones from the Caspian Sea, Belarus, and Crimea, causing power outages, infrastructure damage, and casualties. Oualaalou examines the geopolitical message to NATO and risks of further escalation.

Hello everyone and welcome to Geopolitical Trends. My name is David Oualaalou. In today's video, I am going to address the message behind Russia's recent missile attacks in Kiev, which of course came in response to Ukraine's attack on Crimean Bridge. And I'm going to provide you a brief analysis to put things in perspective for you. So the question, and this is a provocative question before we start, was the message of Russia meant to Ukraine only, or was it also for the US, NATO, and the EU? So before I'll delve deeper into this issue, don't forget to subscribe and hit the likes and notification buttons so you will be notified every time I upload a new video. So let's get into it. Following Ukraine's attack on a major bridge in Crimea, which happened about, well, 4 days ago, 5 days ago, set the course on Ukraine's war on a much tenser trajectory because Russian revenge that spread now fears, but also a message, you know, or messages, if I may say this, because this is more than just to Ukraine. It is a message also to the entities that are providing weapons for Ukraine. So the atmosphere, basically the geopolitical one, that is, but also the conditions on the ground in Ukraine, It's almost like, uh, the fear now is returning to, to Kiev and other cities in Ukraine following Russia's decision to launch missiles. But it behooves us to at least understand who was behind the attack on the Crimean Bridge. Well, Ukrainian intelligence came forward and said that it's behind the deadly attack on the Crimean Bridge. And this is also was according to Vladimir Putin just yesterday and based on a report that was given to him by the head of the National Investigative Committee. His name is Alexander Bastrykin, and I will provide you a link to where I found this information. So the attack was, of course, organized by the Ukrainian security services. This is according to the report, which were, and I put this in quote, "were aided by some Russians and foreign nationals." So they weren't just Ukrainians by themselves. There were some Russians involved, but also some foreign nationals. And this is again, according to Vastrikhin, who is the head of the investigative division in Russia. So the investigative committee head also said that the Federal Security Services in Russia, which is known as FSB, what FSB end up doing is they end up identifying suspects in the blast, the blast that took place on the Crimean Bridge, because it was a truck that blows up, which had the explosives inside. So by identifying the suspects, it became a different ball game altogether. Now it's an intelligence game, shall we say. So the attack on the bridge was aimed at Russia's critical infrastructure. So the question we need to ask now is, was this the overall aim, which means was it Ukraine that did this on its own, or was it Ukraine guided or pushed by outside elements? And that's just for us to think outside the box. So Russia's response, of course, to the bombing or to the attack on the Crimean Bridge is that Russian forces now continue to launch their missiles at Ukraine, different regions in Ukraine. And it was just sort of the city of Kyiv and several other cities, including the capital, of course. Of course, Washington and the European capitals have vowed to expand their support for Ukraine. At the same time, while this has been happening for the last 7 months, Russia also has warned the West against increased involvement in the war. You all can see where this is headed, you know. And this is why the Russian Defense Ministry mentioned that its forces are continuing to conduct intensive airstrikes on Ukrainian military and energy infrastructure facilities with the high-precision missiles. This is where, you know, as an analyst, I'm going to have now to start to think in terms of, okay, the meaning of the deployment of those type of missiles. And second is, are we looking at the, what's the word I'm looking for, for the sphere of the conflict to go beyond Ukraine? That's what I'm starting to think about. So the situation in Ukraine itself is heading towards an unprecedented escalation. As the bombardments, the launching of missiles from Russia renewed as of today, this morning actually, in various regions. And interesting enough, for the first time since the start of the war, which was about, what, 6, 7 months ago, The Ukraine government now deployed the emergency service, has sent now short messages to residents that the threat of missile strikes will continue throughout the day. So it looks like it's not over yet. Could it be this is just the beginning of, of the war? Something to wonder about. Because we didn't hear much about the deployment of missiles. What I found very interesting is we are not seeing any images of what's going on except what the media wants us to see. Unlike, for example, if you compare this to the, uh, invasion of Iraq, what have we witnessed on that? And I'm sure you, you remember we've been watching the development of that invasion on an hourly basis. We are not seeing the same here. So the kind of information that we are receiving might not be complete. This is once again what prompts me to put this channel together for you, is to help you at least put things in perspective. And by the way, I do appreciate all your support, and thank you for that. So, so far there are casualties, of course, uh, there are about 5 people were killed and 24 were injured, but, and also there are about 40 buildings that have been damaged. And these include this building or infrastructures include also the headquarters of the Taras, it's called Taras Shevchenko, literally university. It's one of the largest and most famous universities in Ukraine that was targeted in addition to the museums and other buildings. But unfortunately, I'm not here to talk about the damage of buildings, whatever, that's just a part of casualty of war. Heck, humans themselves die as a casualty of war, which is, I understand all that, but I'm not here to talk about that. I'm here to provide you an analysis to put things in perspective for you so you can understand where things are headed and why. So Ukrainians will probably, and if I am to think, With what happened yesterday and this morning, it's almost like what happened to us here in the United States with 9/11. You all remember, if you happen to be an American watching this video, you all know what happened in 9/11. Well, Ukrainians will probably remember for a long time to come October 10th, 2022, which may be the beginning of a new phase. Written by history for the war on Russia, or for the war of Russia in Ukraine, rather. So because as of yesterday, it was a heavy atmosphere of war that has returned again to Ukraine since February or March. We're talking about 4 or 5 months ago. So, and now the problem with that is that that has returned not only to the borders with Russia, to the cities near the border of Russia, now is returning to the capital of Ukraine and many of other Ukraine's city. So which means what? In a simple term, means that the conflict now is widening. Even those who were spared the ground incursions by the Russians and heavy shelling at the time in the central and western regions. And now noticing something different is happening. So here's the thing. In less than 3 hours, and this is by the way, and I'll provide you the link, this is according to the military data. In less than 3 hours, 21 cities in 15 regions within Ukraine were bombarded by long-range missiles fired by the Russian warplanes from the Caspian Sea airspace, but also were bombarded by the Iranian-made drone, which Russia purchased only a month ago. And those, of course, were launched from the territories in Belarus, in the north and Crimea in the south. So what's going to be happening now with Ukrainians? Well, as I said again, Russians have fired now missiles, about 84 missiles at some of 29 infrastructure sites. And I provide you the link for this. Lead into now the power and the water supplies being cut off to a large part of Ukraine. That is a major devastation because here is why. Some people, mainly in Kyiv, the capital, and some other regions in the west, they were thinking, okay, the war is limited only onto the east side of the country. Not anymore. Not anymore. Because now this interruption to power water supplies because it was cut to large parts of the country, let alone the extensive destructions on the streets and residential buildings. And what do they expect? What do Ukrainians expect? They attack the Crimean Bridge, Russia's going to respond because in Crimea you got Russians living there. So Russia is going to be acting as defending the Russian-speaking population. So now the people in Kiev, have only been able, and here is what I found interesting, only now with this missile attack, the people in Kyiv have now been able to really take it seriously this time around because they have thought that, well, over the past months, the war has moved away from Kyiv. Not anymore because it's returning now. To where they are, and they are seeing that the whole city, Kyiv, that is, as a matter of fact, quickly turned upside down, becoming almost empty and dismembered, unfortunately, due to the security measures that they are taking. Even the subway has also stopped together. That's the casualty of war. They shouldn't be shocked or surprised. It's because we all know when this started, where it was going. So as a matter of fact, there are even now queues, long queues returned into the streets of Kyiv. And these long queues, usually those are people standing in front of food shops because there is no food. And here is what I found very sort of frustrating is why aren't we hearing the truth from the mainstream media? Why aren't they disclosing the reality? So at least we can have information and we'll decide for ourselves. We reach our own conclusions, but we don't hear about this. We don't hear about the long massive lines of people waiting for food, people waiting for gas. There is no much bread or flour or oil, sugar, salt, and other stuff. And yet the question that we, as an American citizen, I'll ask, what happened to the billions of dollars we've been sending over? Where did it go? And those billions of dollars are not the government money, it's our money. So don't we have a right to know at least where that money is spent on? And as I said earlier, long lines, not only in front of food shops, but also in front of gas stations. And by the way, the gas stations are closed because there's no gas. So you can just see where this is headed. And here's the interesting aspects that the main difference that I see personally between what happened yesterday and the developments taking today on the ground is that the war in Kyiv has been a little sort of surprising to the locals because the movement of vehicles has stopped. People are scared, bottom line to it. The bottom line is that the situation now with what's taking place with the Russian missiles is that the situation is already turning or heading towards an unprecedented escalation. This is where I see it going. The question that we need to ask is, okay, why is Russia doing this? Yes, of course, we know it's a revenge for the attack on the Crimean Bridge, but also is he sending a message? And if it is, to whom? So Russia justified its large-scale intensive bombardment as retaliatory measures. And I put this between quotes because that's what the Kremlin disclosed. And of course, this in retaliation to Ukraine State Security Services for blowing up the Crimean Bridge. Ukrainian now start to think twice about where this is headed. And we all know only a few weeks ago, the conversation about nukes is becoming more prevalent. And I remember I did a video on the conversation that's taking place between Poland and the United States regarding the placements of the United States nukes on the Polish territory, which by the way has not been confirmed. So I don't know whether the president of Poland was just lying. So, and I'm keeping an eye on that topic because I want to make sure you guys get the accurate information regarding this. So here's my conclusion to you, you know, so following the accession of the Donbas and other occupied, or other territories that is, to Russia were signed as of September 30th, which was only like, well, a week and a half ago. I don't know if you guys remember seeing the images of when the Russian President Vladimir Putin and the leaders of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republic and the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions all agreed to merge their territories with Russia. So many wonder what is the next step for Russia, and that's a fair question for us to ask. So here's my bottom line to all this is that you need to put the context, you need to put the Russian missile bombardments of Kyiv and certain other infrastructure within the context of whether the war is now expanding. Or taking a different trajectory altogether. So my question to you for today is this: will Ukraine become a landlocked country? Let me repeat this. Will Ukraine become a landlocked country? Let me know what you think and leave me some comments. And as always, remember, geopolitics impacts your daily life in more ways than one. Till next time, bye-bye.
