The Hormuz Showdown: How Close Are We to All-Out War?

U.S. and Iranian forces are exchanging fire in the Strait of Hormuz, which handles 20% of global oil shipments. An F-18 from USS George H.W. Bush struck two Iranian vessels, the Seestar 3 and Savda, allegedly trying to breach a U.S. blockade. This is the most significant escalation between Washington and Tehran since their cease-fire.

Hello everyone and welcome to Geopolitical Trends, where truth matters. The world's most critical oil chokepoint, the Strait of Hormuz, just become now a war zone, and the US military and the IRGC are exchanging fire as we speak, as of now. So this is a day 2 of the escalating tensions in the Strait of Hormuz, that is, and things just got a little more Serious. This is exactly what's happening. So Iran News Agency reports— it's a farce, I believe— reports that sporadic clashes have been going on for hours between IRGC and the US warships in the strait. The Iranian Tasnim News Agency is calling it, and I quote, is a limited exchange of fire with the American enemy, end of quote. But the US isn't calling it that. The US Central Command just released the footage about 3 hours ago. I looked at the clock and it is almost 1 o'clock here. So about 3 hours ago, showing the bombing of ships, 2 ships, Iranian, that is the Star. It's called one of them called the Seestar 3 and the other one's called Savda missiles, and it says where Iranians, they were attempting to enter the Iranian port in violation of the American naval blockade of the Gulf of Oman. So the strike was carried out by an F-18 Super Hornet, which was launched from the US's George H.W. Bush. And there is more to this. The US also intercepted an Iranian oil tanker called Hasna. So this is now the biggest military escalation between Washington and Tehran since their ceasefire, which is happening right now in the Strait of Hormuz, as you know, uh, which carries roughly 20% of the world oil supply. So this confrontation that started last night just got now a second chapter, and nobody knows how this is gonna end. By the way, I'm going to be doing a livestream tomorrow in which I will talk about this analysis, so make sure to join me tomorrow for that, for my analysis about these developments, which I am currently tracking every development as it happens.
