David Jenyns walks through Google's new Nanobanana model in AI Studio, editing a screenshot by changing the background to a blurred factory and making a hand appear female. He calls it the best free image editor available, powered by a Google subscription.
I just want to show you a walkthrough of Google's new image editing tool and how extraordinary it is. So the first thing is we've obviously just updated System Hub to System Hub 2.0 and some of the images on the website are now out of date. So this is an example of one of those. This is the old interface. So I'm going to go to firstly ChatGPT and I'm going to say.
How would you describe this image to an LLM image generation tool? Can you write up a prompt that would create something like this.
So that. And then I'm going to drop this image in here and then we'll just let it do its thing. So it's going to analyze the image, come up with what it thinks is a prompt and now to get to the new image tool.
What is it? It's Google AI Studio.
And this is just one of the Google tools. They released some of the new tools in here. Now the one you want to try is this one here. Nanobanana. I'm going to delete the prompt, come back to what we've got here. I'm going to copy this over now. It references some of the things that's showing up. So I'm going to go here. The screen displays.
The image attached, so I'm going to now delete out all of that.
And we'll go like this. And then I've already gone ahead and taken a screenshot. This is the new interface, so I'm going to grab that and I'm going to now drop that into place here. So this is a screenshot of the new and then I'm going to say run. Now it's going to go off and do its little magical thing and.
When it comes back it's done a fantastic job. We can click that so you can see. Look at that. Like, who needs.
Graphic designers and things like that these days? That's pretty extraordinary. It gets even better though. I can tell it to do further things so I can say can you please make it in more of a factory setting in the background that's blurred.
And make it a female hand.
So.
You'Ll see here just image generation and editing these days is just getting extraordinary.
I don't know if that's female hand, maybe a little bit of a masculine hand, but that's alright. You can see though it's changed the background to the factory settings. So again this is just extraordinary. This is probably the best image generation tool in the world at the moment and it's free inside your Google subscription. You just go to Google AI Studio.
