A short YouTube monologue by David Jenyns advising that when implementing systems, the best driver may be an internal "systems champion"—often an admin or operations-minded team member—rather than the CEO. He warns of common resistance from long-standing or creative staff who resist process changes, and counters that clear boundaries can actually support creativity.

So if you've tried to implement systems in the past and it hasn't quite connected, maybe you're not the right person to be driving it forward. Maybe you need to find the admin person. You don't necessarily need to hire a CEO role but find someone in the company that becomes the systems champion to really drive it forward. And as Charlie said, you are going to come across some sort of resistance. Usually that resistance will happen from, from the team members that have been with you the longest. They're going to want to know why do we have to change the way that we do things? I've always done things this way. Or they're going to say that our job is too creative. We're videographers. Don't try and put me in a box and try and systemize what I'm doing because I need that freedom to move. But if you give clear boundaries, it makes it much easier for them to be creative.
