A short excerpt from a YouTube video by David Jenyns arguing that systemizing administrative tasks—and pairing creatives with someone who handles admin—does not reduce creativity but increases it by freeing business owners from routine tasks (client follow-ups, bookings, payments), creating mental space to pursue creative projects and seize opportunities.

When you pair a creative with someone who does the admin side of things, that's really where the big opportunities happen, because the business owner gets caught up on the tools. Oftentimes, big opportunities are falling in your lap, and you don't even know that they're falling in your lap, but you're too busy working on the tools to take advantage of it. And what systemizing does, it's a little bit counterintuitive. It doesn't remove creativity, it actually increases creativity. Because if you get all of the basics covered, and you don't have to worry about chasing up clients or booking them in or getting money and all of that, the basic admin stuff, that gives you just so much extra space as a business owner to be able to think, to come up with the ideas, to work on the really creative projects and things that you actually want to do.
