A short narrated story about Ryan, a disorganized builder who creates a "magical manual" to organize tools and tasks. With simple step-by-step instructions and a color-coded sticker system contributed by his daughter (the "systems champion"), the team becomes efficient, allowing Ryan more time for family and enabling his business to grow.
Ryan's magical manual. Ryan was a wonderful builder. He could build bouncy castles and twisty slides. But Ryan was always in a muddle. His tools were in a tangle. His plans were in a pile. And he was always, always busy. I wish I had more time to play. Ryan sighed. He looked out the workshop window. His daughter, Erin was sitting on the grass, holding her favorite kite and hoping for a gust of wind. And her dad. Then Ryan had a brilliant idea. I'll make a special book, he said aloud. A magical manual to help me get organized. Ryan sat down and began to write and draw. In his new manual, he drew a picture of where every hammer and screwdriver should live. He wrote simple 1, 2, 3 steps for each job. Aaron came into the workshop. What's that, Daddy? She asked, looking at the book. She had a super idea. It needs colors. We can use stickers to make it even better. So they worked as a team. Ryan wrote the instructions, and Aaron, his new systems champion, added the stickers. A green sticker for Go. A yellow sticker for be careful. And a big gold star for a perfect job. The next day, the magic began. When Ryan's team needed to know what to do, they just looked in the manual. The simple steps and colorful stickers made every job easy. Because everything was so organized, the work was finished in no time. Ryan wasn't in a muddle anymore. He finished early and had lots of time for very important things like flying kites with his number one systems champion. Thanks to their teamwork and the magical manual, there was always time for an adventure.
Ryan's building business grew bigger and better. His happy team built the most amazing playgrounds in town, all thanks to the little manual with the big magic inside.
