A short interview excerpt from a YouTube video where Jay Allen (business coach) describes his experience reading SYSTEMology. He says he intended only to skim the pre-release script but ended up cancelling his meetings and reading the whole thing in about 17 hours. He praises the book as the missing link that turns recommended business practices into simple, actionable systems, calling it a foundation or ‘compass’ that allows businesses to grow confidently without breaking.

So I'm here with Jay Allen and he was telling me about his systemology experience and I said, oh wait, wait, wait, let's hit record because I would love to hear this story. David, thank you. I just wanted to remain honest with you really and say whilst I was really flattered to have been chosen to have had a privilege to be able to pre read the script before it's published, I'm a busy man like yourself and when I first received the script it had been my intent to skim read through it. I'm going to read frequently so I'm comfortable with speed reading and I'll write a few nice comments and then over the next week or so I'll schedule some times to really properly get into it and read it and then I'll perhaps either update my comments or I'll send a further email later on. And I opened the script and I read the first page and at about quarter seven in the morning I phoned my PA and said I need you to cancel all my meetings for today. Something's come up and I won't be in. And I think I read the whole thing in about 17 hours. In Emyth Gerber told us all the things that we need to do and what you've done in Systemology is teach us how simple it is to do them. I've got goosebumps just talking to you at the moment, but your book is that missing link because it ties. This is what you want to achieve, this is where you are right now. And these are the steps that you need to have in place in order that as you grow you can grow confidently and competently knowing that you're not going to either go or grow broke. This is the foundations on which every other system can now sit comfortably, isn't it? Without this you can have all of these glorified systems and they're still built on wet sand. You've created is this foundation that says, but if you've got these things in place, doesn't really matter what happens out there because you can still refer to a system and say, so well now what do we do? It keeps you on course. It's almost the compass in any business. Ra.
