In this brief dialogue, Speaker A announces that his Thanksgiving plans will remain unchanged from the previous year and humorously adds that Governor Gavin Newsom is invited, emphasizing a calm, non‑panic attitude toward life. Speaker B brings up Dr. Anthony Fauci’s comment about continuing mask use after vaccination, questioning the authority of scientists. Speaker A expands on a broader critique, arguing that society values knowledge over wisdom, that scientists are often expected to dictate policy rather than merely provide facts, and that many experts advocated against lockdowns. He references the Great Barrington Declaration—originating from Great Barrington, Vermont and supported by scholars from Harvard, Stanford, and Oxford—pointing out its obscurity among the American public despite its relevance to pandemic strategy.

I will be having Thanksgiving with the exact same people I had Thanksgiving with last year. Governor Newsom is invited, I might add. The only answer is for people not to panic and to live life.
The, the statement by Fauci that we will wear masks after vaccine? He is another scientist like every other group.
How many people do you know have wisdom? Very few, let's be honest, which is very sad, and I understand exactly why. Wisdom isn't taught, it isn't valued. So we have substituted knowledge for wisdom and assumed that scientists should guide policy rather than merely inform us of scientific facts. And when scientists say don't lock down, like a vast number did, including the heads from— why don't we have the heads on? We should have them on regularly. The Great Barrington Statement, Declaration. Harvard and Stanford and Oxford. But they're ignored. How many Americans know about the Great Barrington? It's named after Great Barrington, Vermont. That's where it was made.
