Dr. Severson describes a naturopathic residency where residents learn from experienced doctors while developing their own practice style. The small, family-owned clinic offers a tight-knit, patient-centered environment where residents absorb knowledge, adapt it to their values, and apply it directly with patients.

Favorite part about this job is there's so many different things. First off, I'll start with being the resident. The resident has this really amazing role that I'm able to be under the mentorship for a lot of other naturopathic doctors here. I get to absorb the information. I also get to start implementing and learning my own ways to practice. So I get to absorb and then I get to kind of spend spin it around to what my values and my views are and then show it to my patients. Another really great thing that I really love about this job as well is just coming in every single day, being able to practice what I love and in such a wonderful environment. Wonderful meaning that this is a small family owned clinic and so it's a very tight knit group of people and so with that that means there's a lot of passion, there's a lot of care, there's a lot of patient centered focus for everybody that walks through these doors.
