This is a YouTube video titled "Dr. Cory Goldberg on Sun Media - Vectra 3D" featuring a discussion from September 2013 about the Vectra 3D imaging technology used in plastic surgery. The content includes multiple speakers, notably Dr. Cory Goldberg and Kevin Connor, explaining how this advanced imaging technology helps patients visualize potential surgical outcomes, enhancing consultation and decision-making in cosmetic procedures.
At this point, I'm happy to be the first and only plastic surgeon in Canada to have access to this technology.
The Vectra 3D imaging technology is a high tech camera with software that makes it possible for plastic surgeons to provide patients with a preview to potential outcomes of surgery. 100% of patients ask what they will look like after the surgery. Now the guesswork can be eliminated.
These sorts of questions and I would say almost every patient I have asks me that. It caused me to go out and look for technology that might make me able to answer their questions.
The new technology is only a year old and was once only available in Hollywood. The technology allows patients to see what different sizes might look on them.
This technology is based on a series of six cameras at 12 megapixels each. And it's able to synthesize an image which is 36 megapixels in three dimensions. And it allows me to perform simulations on patients both for facial and breast procedures.
Plastic surgeon Dr. Corey Goldberg says the Vectra 3D imaging technology is the future of beauty. For the Toronto Sun. I'm Kevin Connor.
