GliSODin Academy : Let's Talk with Dr. Cory Goldberg about oxidative stress part. 6

Dr. Cory Goldberg wraps up a series on oxidative stress, explaining how unstable oxygen species damage cells and why superoxide dismutase matters. He presents GliSODin, a melon-derived SOD supplement, as more effective than dietary antioxidants at boosting the body's own defenses, backed by over 40 human trials.
Hi, everybody. This is Corey Goldberg. Welcome back to our sixth installment of the mini series on oxidative stress. What it is, where it comes from, ways that we can combat it. And this is kind of our summary episode. So, you know, just going back to the very start, a reminder, these oxygen molecules that are unstable, they. This is what causes oxidative stress. There are sources of it from outside our body and inside our own normal biochemistry. The way we produce energy and that our cells function produces a ton of this oxidative stress. And in fact, every other living being on this planet has the same issue. And from the very dawn of life, these mechanisms have evolved. And these enzymes that are able to combat this oxidative stress are in most living species on the planet, and including plants, animals, fungi. Superoxide dismutase is the king of these enzymes. We have some others as well. This substance, glycidin, is an sod derived from a melon from a plant, which is encapsulated in gliadin and that prevents it from being digested. And this adheres to our small intestine and increases our own levels of superoxide dismutase and the other antioxidant enzymes, therefore increasing our internal protection against this oxidative stress simply by enhancing or augmenting our own natural defenses. This is considerably more effective than eating dietary sources of antioxidants, which actually have very little or no impact on the oxidative stress in our bodies. The benefit of taking these kinds of this kind of material and reducing the oxidative stress in our body has been shown in over 40 human trials on every organ system in the body. Human trials have been done on glycodin involving skin, skin health, as well as kidney, eye, cardiovascular disease. And these studies have shown that by increasing our enzymes, these antioxidant enzymes, we reduce the damage to our body that causes these disease processes. And in fact, by reducing the damage to our epigenetics, this would therefore reduce the damage that is ultimately the cause of aging. Based on the aging theory of. Based on the information theory of aging this espoused by David Sinclair and his associates. And so glycidin is a mechanism whereby we can increase our own internal antioxidant defenses and therefore reduce the workload on our body that has to clean up the damage caused by it after the fact. If you're interested in learning more about glycidin, the papers that I've mentioned are all listed and posted on glycidin.org that's g-odin.org and you can certainly find material there. I'm happy to receive inquiries as well. And in the meantime, I wish you all the very best of health and hope to see you again soon. Take care.
