Many patients come to me asking about mini facelift as compared to a facelift. I'm very cautious about selecting candidates for mini facelifts because the amount of benefit that can be achieved is limited. And so I reserve it for patients who have a smaller amount of extra skin or jowl formation. Although it does address the same areas as a facelift, it it can't accomplish the same things as a facelift, and so if used for the wrong patient, it will result in unsatisfying results.
