A short YouTube monologue by Dr. Joshua John-Ram Schacter discussing the roles of estrogen and testosterone for women—particularly during menopause. The vast majority of women prefer pellets. Creams are an opportunity. We can use creams in different ways. Vaginal application of testosterone cream can help with libido, can help with sex drive. There's a lot of data to suggest that vaginal testosterone can help with the health of the environment as well as combining it with estrogen. When we have the presence of testosterone, women, they naturally have testosterone produced in their body. So to go through menopause is to lose your testosterone. And that's one of the metrics that we test. The estrogen can really help with symptoms like, oh, hot flashes and some of the weight gain issues. But where we see women really start to turn the corner and feel good and want to get in the gym and be motivated to have sex and work out and do things in their life, it's when we add in testosterone, it makes a huge difference.
