It's not in the best interest of pharmaceutical companies to necessarily prevent surgery and hospitalization. We don't feel like drug companies have our best interest at heart, for sure. And we see that. Doctors see it, patients see it. The question is, would a drug company have put out this drug if they thought they could reduce surgery and improve health? Personally, I don't believe that the goal of any pharmaceutical company is to improve population health.
