How Robert Avoided Surgery at 54

Robert Polman, 54, had severe knee and finger pain that surgery seemed inevitable for. He tried a cell-based procedure at Dr. Joshua John-Ram Schacter's clinic instead: they drew his blood, centrifuged it, and reinjected it. His pain dropped noticeably, especially in his finger, and he was back to work the next week.

All right. Can you tell me your name? Yes, I am Robert Polman. And what age are you? I am 54. What was life like before your joint procedure and what were you unable to do that made you upset? Well, I had had great pain in a couple of my joints, particularly my knee where I'd had a recent injury, and a finger where I'd had a recent injury. And I actually been off work for a little while because of my knee injury. And that was the biggest thing, trying to get well and get back to work.
I've seen some of the staff and know them in, in my personal life and have seen the results of the work on them. And so it may be interested in trying to pursue getting a little bit healthier through them.
Much like any procedure you have done. You're probably always worried about the pain of the actual procedure and the pain after and how long it's going to take you to recover. And mainly that sort of thing is the biggest thing.
It was interesting. It was excited to see how it was done. When they draw out the various bone cells or blood cells, whichever they need, and spin them down to re inject them into you, however they do their magic and then there it goes.
I've had a little bit of downtime, but pretty much walk right out. But it took a little while for my recovery. I had a substantial injury and I'll be returning back to work next week.
Life is much better, if nothing else, for the thing we've done with my finger, because my finger hurts so bad all the time that I literally went for a month or two not hardly being able to sleep because every time I would roll over or anything that happened, I catch my finger. It would give me such excruciating pain that I'd go from asleep to dead awake right now and it hurt.
Definitely consider them as an option because they were able to help me through my pain without surgery. That was a big goal of mine was to not have surgery because had surgeries before and the recovery from surgery is so bad. And the results I've gotten from this are very good and without the surgery. And I've had great results and I'm feeling good.
One of the big days was, of course, getting my finger fixed. It was horrible that I had stretched my finger beyond where it should have been. A customer throwing a bag at me and I'd caught it and bent my finger backwards and had popped this tendon back on the knuckle of my finger. And for I went along fighting, just thinking, oh, well, I'll get better from that for several weeks and was sleeping horribly until someone convinced me that maybe I needed to have something done. And I did. And I'm so happy because I can sleep now. And with my knee having. Having it, it was just a simple slip. I started tearing my tendon on my kneecap and the pain was horrible. Couldn't. Couldn't go up. Couldn't go up and down steps. After having the procedure done within a coup weeks, I was going back up and down steps. When I'd done something similar to my other leg, we'd had to have surgery. I was in a brace for six weeks and then had even more extensive physical therapy on that leg. So I'm very happy not to have had to endure that surgery again.
