Regenerative Therapy Changed Her Life

Ladonna Fowler, 76, had severe hip pain that kept her awake at night and limited her walking. After regenerative therapy on both hips, she sleeps pain-free, walks two miles most days, and climbed a step ladder without instability, avoiding hip-replacement surgery.

Well, I have Ladonna Fowler with me today. She's incredible. She's an amazing patient. She's been with us here at Pinnacle for quite some time.
Yes.
And we've been taking care of your hips for you.
Yes.
And so we've done regenerative therapies on. On both of her hips.
Now tell me, Ladonna, if you're comfortable giving your age, what's how.
I am 76.
Okay. 76 years young.
If I went to sleep on my right side, it would wake me up in excruciating pain. I just. And that's the side I've always slept on, but I couldn't. And then I could go on my left side, but then pretty soon it was. Started doing the same thing. It was really hard to get a good night's sleep.
Okay.
It doesn't hurt on either side. When I sleep all night long on one side, it doesn't bother me at all. I. I'm now my husband and I walk two miles a day most days, and I was getting to where I could only make it a mile, and that was it. That was just. Was incapacitating, really. So once I got this done, I'm back to walking two miles a day, feeling like a youngin.
And I've loved to watch your progress. She's. She is just every step of the way, she's gotten so much better, so much more function and so much more use. And that's really important for our overall health. Right, Ladonna? We want to be able to be active.
I had had shots in both hips several times. You had gone in and scraped the bursa and stuff to relieve the pain some, and that helped for a little while, but then it was right back to where it was. So this is really. I just love it. I just. I would highly recommend it to anyone who's having pain.
I wouldn't. I'm sure not just in your hips, but anywhere that this would work.
And when. When did you finally decide that it was. Is time to get help with this? I mean, I know that you're in excruciating pain, but that's it. You know, it's a. This is not covered by insurance.
Right.
It can, you know, feel expensive before you actually feel the results.
Right.
The last time that we walked and I was just about in tears, I was sick to my stomach. I was in so much pain. I said, I've got to do something. I can't keep this up. And I. At age, I did not want to go through major surgery of hip replacement because it would be one and then it wouldn't be too long till the other one. So if I can get by with not having surgery, it's. I might say it was worth every penny.
I'd love to hear that. Love to hear that.
It was about that. I was. The next time we walked in, it was a less pain. I could go a little bit further than what we had been going. And it didn't seem like it was any time at all until we were back to our two miles.
That's fantastic.
Just that afternoon, I kind of took it easy. Put ice or heat, whichever they told me to put on. And I do have to say Michelle is wonderful. She promised me it would not hurt. And I really had no pain doing that. Yeah.
And so all of our providers are well trained and qualified to do these procedures.
I can do things around the house that I want to do. Climb up on a step ladder if I want to without any pain and back down. I don't feel unstable like that. My hip is going to give out. It feels comfortable. I can just pretty much do whatever I want to do.
Fantastic.
Do it. You owe it to yourself. It's fantastic. You'll be very pleased with the results that's coming from my heart.
Thank you. You're welcome. Give me a hug. That was wonderful.
