He cautions that receiving a joint replacement at a young age raises the chance of needing revision surgery later, and that revisions are more complex than simply replacing a single component.
When we put these joints in there, they're man made, right? The materials are getting better and better and better. And we're having better longevity with our joint replacements as we learn more how to do them. I do robotic joint replacements and the idea is that it increases our longevity, hopefully of the joint. But yeah, if you have a joint replacement too young, there's a good chance that you might have to have it redone. And it's not like going in and putting a greaser in there, like just changing a piece. It's. It's always more than that.
