This is a YouTube video titled "MM 55 Treat the Whole System NOT the Symptom YouTube sharing" created in February 2012. The content features Ask AI Mark explaining the principles of functional medicine, emphasizing a holistic approach to health that focuses on underlying causes rather than symptoms, and presenting it as the future of medical practice.

So what is functional medicine? Well, the approach we take in functional medicine to a disease is not like a new treatment or a new modality or a new specialty or technique. It's not integrative or alternative medicine. It's the future of medicine. It's applying new discoveries in biology about how we really get sick and how we can create health. It's about treating your whole system, not the symptom. It applies the most advanced science in a practical, clinical method in the service of our health. It's a new way of thinking that focuses on the question why or the cause, not just what or the name of the disease. It's a whole new world and it's what all doctors will be practicing in 20 years. —.
