Dr. Nicole Cain outlines five signs your brain needs detox: brain fog, mood swings, fatigue, sleep problems, and memory issues. Your glyphatic system clears metabolic waste but gets overwhelmed, and buildup linked to Alzheimer's and anxiety can impair function. And I know that detoxification can be completely complicated and confusing, but I found a solution that's easy, where you don't have to starve yourself, eat disgusting food, or break the bank. And so stay tuned to the end, because I'll share with you my quick and easy detox strategy that saved my life. So, just so you know, I'm not the type of person that loves to fast or loves to deprive myself of eating yummy, tasty treats. And so when I did the research, I'm the type of person that will really do the research. Diving in deep is my jam. So that you don't have to. And I was really inspired to do this talk for you today after talking with Dr. Jill Christa. If you haven't heard the podcast, go and check it out. She is a mold guru. And after speaking with her, I was like, oh, my God, babes. Like, I think I have mold everywhere based on how you're describing it. And so detox is on the forefront of my mind. Go check out that podcast. Learn about how it may be relevant for you and what to do about it. And today's gonna be great. So just like the air filter in your car needs changed, your makeup brushes need washed, and your floors periodically need vacuumed, Babe, your brain needs periodic cleansing, too. Regular detox will not only prevent cognitive issues down the road, but they can also make a huge impact on how you're feeling right now. So let's start with some self reflection. Let's make sure this is about you. Right? These are five signs that you're due for detox. Number one is, do you have brain fog? Fog? Do you find that it's hard to think? Maybe you feel a little fuzzy or foggy or forgetful or just dull. This is the opposite of feeling sharp and crisp and clear. So do you have fog? Number two is, are you struggling with mood swings? Whether you feel low and then you feel anxious or you feel like you're having panic attacks or maybe you're Having bipolar type swings. If your mood isn't stable, this is a sign that you may be due for a brain detox. So that's number two. Number three is, are you fatigued? What's your endurance like when you wake up in the morning? Do you have to be horizontal for an hour with a cup of coffee iving into you, or are you able to jump out of bed and then how are you feeling in the afternoons? If you get that afternoon slump after you have lunch, or when 3 o' clock hits and you just need to lay down or drink a bunch of coffee, you then you may be due for a detox. And that's number three. Number four is difficulty sleeping. Do you have a hard time falling asleep, staying asleep, or on the opposite end, are you sleeping too much? Are you finding that you're getting like three or four hours and your brain pops awake? Or are you getting 14, 15, 16 hours and you're still exhausted? If those are the case, either one of those, you may be due for a brain detox. And then number five is concentration and memory issues. And this was a really huge thing for me when I was talking with Dr. Jill about mold and about toxicity in the environment is I felt like somebody would tell me something and I would forget it really quickly unless I made a really strong mental note to write it down or to say it again and again. So if you've noticed that at least three of the above are relevant for you, then this is the lecture for you. This is the conversation for you. You need to detox and I'm here to help. So there are three important reasons, besides just not feeling well, that you need to do a detox. Number one is that metabolism is messy. When you go throughout your day, your brain is hard at work, making proteins, sending signals, receiving and analyzing data, and regulating the rest of your body. Your brain has a system called the glymphatic system. Not to be confused with lymphatic. This starts with the G, it's the glymphatic system. And this removes waste products from your brain and your nervous system so they can function optimally. Think about it this way. You're cooking a giant feast and you have all these ingredients and all these dishes and pots and pans and powders and all the things that you're using. And it's easier if you're able to clean as you cook so that by the end of finishing the meal you just prepared, you don't have this giant disaster waiting for you in the kitchen, right? And so this is what the glymphatic system does for your brain as you're going throughout your day is it's removing waste, metabolic waste products. However, sometimes we can't keep up. We can't keep up with the amount of metabolic labor. And so then toxicity can build and build and build. And metaphoric with our story as you come back to the kitchen and there's this huge disaster, your countertops are in disarray, your kitchen needs a cleanup, and the glymphatic system is metaphorical for Mr. Clean for your brain. So metabolism is messy. And number two is that an accumulation of waste causes dysfunction. Just like if your dirty kitchen can attract unwanted critters and rodents and insects, the environment of your brain and nervous system will impact its functionality. One of my favorite authors, his name is Henry Lindlar, he lived from 1862 to approximately 1924, wrote the book Nature Cure. And he talked about how one of the main causes of disease is the accumulation of morbid matter. Morbid matter may refer to metabolic waste, like our kitchen analogy, as well as toxicities from our environment, which could be exhaust from the highway, the donut you got at work, or the mold in your refrigerator filter. Depending on the type of toxic burden, your body will wisely share information with you in the form of symptoms. And it's our job to listen and to respond. And in this case, we're going to detox, right? So number three is that long standing toxicity leads to chronic disease. We've seen in the research that chronic toxic toxicity can be a huge problem for the brain and the body alike. For example, experts believe that the brain's insufficient elimination of beta amyloid plaques from the brain lead to a disease called Alzheimer's. Studies from the Mayo Clinic have shown that high amounts of lead exposure can cause anxiety, memory loss, learning difficulties, and tons of other symptoms. These are just two examples of environmental triggers that can cause changes in how our body and brain works. Just imagine living in a toxic environment where you have hundreds of thousands of every single day. And if you are not detoxing at the rate of toxing, you're going to have an accumulation. And oftentimes people will say, well, I didn't notice that eating this doughnut or being in this apartment caused symptoms before, but now they do. And the metaphor for that is think about a giant whiskey barrel. We all start our lives with a certain size barrel. And as we attain toxicity, as we grow and we get more and more toxicity, our barrels get full until eventually they cannot hold anymore. And the stuff starts to come out and that is when we get symptoms. So some people can, they can have exposures to tons of toxicity and they don't get the same symptoms as somebody who may have a smaller barrel for whatever epigenetic, genetic, environmental, reason. So it's really important to look at your body. But the good news is, is that I have found a quick and easy solution to the problem of brain and body toxicity. And as promised in the beginning of this conversation, here are the steps to make brain detox easy and even potentially fun. I want to tell you about Designs for Health. I don't have any affiliation with Designs for Health, but I do make it available to you. There is a product I love. It's called Veggie Cleanse. I used the Veggie Cleanse with my Anxiety Warriors. We did it with one of our cohorts and the results were awesome. The warriors felt less anxiety, more cognitive crispness, better sleep, more mood stability. And I'm excited to share this with you. And there's a few reasons why I picked this cleanse in particular because if you jump online, you're going to find that there's hundreds and hundreds of brands with hundreds of cleanses and they're all going to be making these great claims. But what I love about this, first of all is that it's plant based. We want to avoid using whey and other pro and folks inflammatory proteins and stick with plants during a detox, especially for brain health. This product contains USDA certified organic pea protein. And that's really important because we don't want to add more toxicity in while we're trying to do a detox. Right. And by the way, it's delicious. So the second is that all of the ingredients are physician grade. The thing with supplements is that they are not regulated by the fda. So any Joe Schmo complex, put powder in a capsule, put it online and sell it as medicine. And then you buy that, take a bunch of it and give it to your loved ones and you don't know what you're actually getting. But physician grade supplements mean they have gone through a ton of third party testing, rigorous analysis so that we know for sure that they contain what they say they contain in the dosages and the right forms. So that's really important to me, especially when we're working with the brain. Thirdly, there is no guesswork with this. You're going to get a box and it's going to have everything that you need physician grade and you're going to get a beautiful, easy to Understand booklet on what to take, what to eat and when it's all handed to you so you don't have to worry about trying to figure it out and doing a bunch of Google research. It'll even tell you about your diet, which is super cool, super easy, and you're not going to feel hungry or deprived. And then fourth, you're going to get all of the nutrients that you need for your liver. And so with liver detoxing, you have two phases. There's phase one and phase two metabolic pathways. And we need to make sure that our liver is on board when we're doing a detox. So the brain is telling us we need to detox, but if we just start demanding that the liver detoxes us, but we're not supporting the liver, we're going to get a whole host of negative side effects that are going to make the process much worse and could make you actually sicker in the end. And so when you do a detox, you want to make sure that you have the ingredients that support both phase one and phase two of liver detox. So you're going to get a 14 day kit. And we want to do 14 days because that's when we really start to not only mobilize, but get those toxicities out of our body. And so the kit has lots of good stuff in it. Number one is you're going to get 28 single servings of the powder. Delicious. Yummy. Really good. You're going to get 28 capsules with your amino detox capsules and your hydrozyme. And the really cool thing about this is that most people can just pause their normal vitamin regimen. Of course, if your doctor says that's okay, is pause your normal vitamin regimen and use this for your detox, you're still going to get everything you need and then some. And then when you're done, you can go back. You're also going to get the guidebook and of course a really fun, fun blender bottle. And so I just want to show you how to find this because I know that technology, as you can hear me clunking on my microphone, technology can be really tricky, right? And so I want to help you. I have my iPad here. And so we're going to go to Dr.nicolecane.com and this is how you find it. Loves. So you're going to just go to my website and then you're going to go to the shop. And so you're going to click the shop button. Hopefully you can see this and it's not just reflecting my camera light, but you click on the shop button and then you scroll and you scroll down and you're going to see a yellow button down here. It says 300 physician grade supplements with exclusive discounts. Yellow button, my favorite button. So start shopping now. So you're going to hit that button and then that first thing on the right there, it's your detox, your 14 day detox. And then you simply just put in your login information, you pay that company directly and they will send you everything that you need. Just like setting up an email address. Super easy, super fun. If for whatever reason you don't see it in there, we'll put the link directly in the comment here so that you just simply just click on the link there. This has been Dr. Nicole today we've been talking about the importance of detox and your mental health. And so if you do the self reflection and if you resonate with three out of those five, five symptoms that you might need to do a detox, then talk with your doctor and make sure that detoxing is appropriate for you and make sure that you do it right using physician grade products. Hey, I go back to Michigan for a little vacay in one week and so that will give you time to order it. So go in there and order it today and let's do this together. I'm going to be starting my detox. I'm going to have 14 days. I'll tell you about how it's going. And so, so if you want to do the detox with me, that would be super fun because detoxing is always better with buddies. And so click on the link and then let's start detoxing and let's start changing our lives together, babes. Okay, I will see you later. Thank you so much for watching and I will be back next week.
