A short YouTube transcript of Dr. Nicole Cain discussing how to assemble a 'panic pack' — a portable kit of grounding tools to stop panic on the go. Dr. Cain lists example items (fidget toys, tinctures like kava kava, essential oils, theanine/magnesium packets, headphones, sunglasses, cold/heat packs) and promises a follow-up video with a full list.
Hey, Dr. Cain. What are you doing there?
I'm building panic packs.
What's a panic pack?
A panic pack is something that can help you stop panic on the go, and it contains things that are grounding that you put in the panic pack that you can take anywhere you're going.
So what sort of things do you put in this panic pack?
You have things that stimulate texture and taste and smell. So I have all sorts of different fidget toys, and I have lots of tinctures and things like, this is kava kava. It's anti anxiety. I have essential oils. I have packets that have been like theonine and magnesium headphones for music, sunglasses. Like, really anything that you want, you can put in here. But I always include a cold pack and heat pack because those work really quickly and effectively.
Wow, that's great. Is there anything else for us who want to have an adult panic pack?
I'm actually going to be doing a video on this with the list, and so stay tuned and you'll see a whole lot more on that.
