The bare minimum treatment you can do for bipolar disorder is medications. Integrative medicine offers a wide range of treatments that are safe, powerful, and effective. In fact, 85% of my patients see improvement in their symptoms within the first month. Many go on to experience complete symptom remission after a long period of treatment. I have seen hundreds of patients take control of their health and get their lives back. And so can you. Naturopathic doctors are the original integrative doctors. With decades of wisdom combined with modern medicine, naturopathic doctors are able to help you get to the root cause of your symptoms. We do not just treat your symptoms. We treat you as a whole person. And when you are healthier as a person, you. You will start to see your symptoms go away. While medications can be helpful, they can mask your symptoms and do not transition you to a state of greater health. An analogy I often use with my patients is that if you have a lawn full of weeds that you want to get rid of, instead of masking that by mowing them down, you could actually pull the weeds up by their roots, and then they won't grow anymore. Similarly, naturopathic doctors focus on getting to the root cause of your symptoms so that they don't come back. So the first thing we need to do is to identify the root cause of your symptoms. So with each new patient, I spend an extensive amount of time getting to know you, learning about your history, your symptoms. We may look at your records, order diagnostic tests, labs, blood work, and all of these things. Together, we'll look to understand what might be causing your symptoms. The goal then would be to treat the cause of your symptoms as well as treat the symptoms themselves. Bipolar disorder can present very differently in each person, and therefore, it will be very important to understand the unique ways in which you experience your symptoms. Each person leaves my office with an individually created treatment plan that is tailored to your specific needs. In over a decade of mental health practice, I have seen the most profound healings in people who have been receiving homeopathic and naturopathic care. I am able to offer homeopathic approaches, counseling. I may make recommendations about diet, supplements, nutrition, and more. Everything considered based on your specific needs, there is hope. For those suffering from bipolar disorder, you can feel better. Give us a call today to see if naturopathic medicine might be right for you.
