Did you hear that? Researchers developed a blood test for anxiety. Hi, I'm Dr. Nicole Cain and I'm the founder of the Holistic Wellness Collective, which teaches you how to be your own holistic wellness expert. Researchers from the Indiana University School of Medicine have developed a test for anxiety. According to a publication in Molecular Psychiatry, this RNA blood test can look at your risk of anxiety, the type of anxiety that you may experience, and what treatments may be most effective for your type of anxiety. Researchers in this study say that this could be game changing for preventative medicine so that you can identify your risk factors for anxiety and make changes before anxiety starts. It also is something that they're suggesting could be included in your annual wellness panel. What I think is especially exciting is that these researchers looked at a variety of biomarkers and when they looked at these biomarkers, they helped them understand what kinds of risk factors for anxiety were present. And then they looked at both conventional and holistic treatment solutions. Solutions and that can help zero in on will omega 3 fatty acids help one person and not the other? And why? Or will valproate help somebody and not somebody else and why? This is precision medicine at its finest. So what do you think? If your doctor offered you a blood test or anxiety, would you do it? And if so, why?
