So, hi Jayden, how you doing? Good, how are you? Awesome. I'm going to show you how quickly we can release a negative emotion. Will that work for you? Yeah. Okay, good. So I want you to think of a time when you were frustrated or irritated, because that's the easiest one to clear, really. You got that? Where are you holding that in your physical body? Because we hold our emotions in our physical body. I would say in like the center here. Okay, cool. So go ahead and close your eyes. Think about that negative emotion and which shoulder would it be on if you were thinking it was on a shoulder? Good. Okay, cool. So go ahead and think about that frustrating time, that irritation. Go ahead, turn the colors up, turn the sounds up, turn the feelings up. Really feel that thing that feeling of frustration in the middle of your chest, that feeling of irritation. Good. And open your eyes and smell popcorn. Okay, so interesting. Uh, smell is the fastest way to get out of a memory. So I'm going to say smell popcorn, I might say look out the window. We want to distract you, we want to put a break state in, a pattern interrupt, so that you, you click out of it. Cool. So on this shoulder being the opposite shoulder. Actually, I'm going to put your hand forward, I'm going to need it in a minute. On this shoulder, I'd like you to start thinking about a beautiful safe place in nature. So beach, a mountain, a forest— where would that be?
Do you want to say it out loud? Yeah, um, in California hiking.
Oh, very nice. Okay, think about that California hiking trip. Where are you holding that in your physical body?
If you were to pretend, you know, I would say it's kind of up near the top.
Okay, cool, very good. Go ahead, close your eyes, think about that beautiful hiking trip and turn the colors up, the sounds up, the feelings up. Really turn those sounds and feelings up, really feel it amazingly clear. Beautiful day, gorgeous feelings, like peace, harmony, clarity. Turn the colors, the sounds, and the feelings up. Good. Smell popcorn? Open your eyes. All right, now just go ahead and go look forward, and I'm going to switch up the neurology. So what I'm going to do is place both hands on your shoulders at the same time, and we're going to switch up the neurology so that you can make better decisions in future and different choices. Now go ahead, open your eyes, and try and feel that feeling, frustration and irritation.
And you'll find it's neutral.
Yeah, good job! Awesome job! Well done! Thank you, thank you.
