Hello, this is Dr. Yvonne Oswald Oswald with Every Word Has Power. Today we're going to talk about how you can change your words to change your destiny. What would happen if every word you thought or said instantly came true? Wouldn't that be amazing? It would, if every word and thought you had was positive. What about if every fear you had instantly came true? What about when you talk about other people, the things you say about other people, they would come true for you. Hmm. We may think about being more kind to people, right? So today we're going to talk about how to change those words so that your unconscious mind is always, always supporting you. So, a little revision of "Every Word Has Power." Your unconscious mind hears keywords and only keywords. It doesn't hear context and it doesn't understand grammar. So, when I say to you, "Think of a wonderful time," it's going to pick up on the word "wonderful" and "time," because those are two keywords. If I say to you, "You're having a great day," it's going to pick up on "great" and "day," because "great" has emotions with it, and "day" is a keyword. You are creating your world right this minute with your thoughts and with your words. So let's revise how your unconscious mind actually works. It's a servo mechanism. That means it's a machine. It simply goes for the keywords you use every day in your thoughts and in your words, and it searches for them rather like the internet search. So if you use any kind of keyword, it will literally find the keyword and go bring you results based on that keyword. The interesting thing is if there are emotions attached to that keyword, it's also going to go for those more than any other. It's actually programmed to go for emotions because emotions are your survival mechanism. So every word that has an emotional attachment, like mother, father, excitement, joy, hard, difficult, the other ones too. It will literally go for those and bring you more results of the same. So let's think about those words. If I say to you, "Ah, don't worry," your unconscious mind is actually going to go for worry. It's not going to go for the "don't" because it doesn't hear the "don't." If I say to you, "You'll be fine," the unconscious mind is searching for Fine. What about if I say to you, don't think of a pink elephant. Don't think of a pink elephant climbing a tree with a hat on waving at you. What are you thinking of? That's right, the pink elephant. What about no problem? Everybody in North America says, no problem. They mean, you are welcome. You're fine. But in actual fact, your unconscious mind is searching for problem, not you'll be fine. So we want to actually start thinking about what we're also instructing other people to think about. As you're speaking to someone, you're actually directing their thoughts and their words and their results towards what you're saying as well. So I'm going to give you a little example from my book. It's called "Every Word Has Power." It's a great little book. And on page 17, I give an example of a normal conversation. What I'd like you to do is count on your fingers or count in your head the number of low-energy words in this little paragraph, such as "bad," such as "difficult," "hard," "problem," etc. And I want you to notice how you feel inside as I read. Good morning, John. How are you? Oh, not bad, not bad. I was really not well. I was sick over Christmas and I'm still trying to get over it. I always get sick at this time of year. It gets really depressing. Poor you, that sucks. Did you get that flu that's going around? That's right, it's a really nasty one this time. Everyone's getting it. It seems to go away and then it comes back and then you think it's gone and it comes back again. It's hard to to get rid of. Anyway, I've got the book you ordered. It's really expensive, I'm afraid. Uh, $25. Oh, do you mind if I give you money next week, 'cause I'm broke right now? I'll get some money more next week, I hope, and then I'll post you a cheque and give you a post-dated cheque, OK? Oh, don't worry. I know, things are really hard right now. The economy's always down every January. Whatever works for you is fine. Oh, thanks very much, Linda. No problem. See you later. Bye. My actual tummy, my gut, is feeling really not very pleasant right now because there are about 19 or 20 keywords in that little paragraph that were low energy. And low energy words have been proven to lower your immune system. So we take all of the low energy words out, replace them with high energy, and it's actually very interesting because it makes the paragraph a lot shorter and a lot more economical. Listen again and notice how the feeling in your gut changes. Good morning, John. Are you well? Actually, I'm much better. I wasn't well at Christmas and I've decided to get healthy for the new year. Great, great! I wish you success. I've got your book you ordered. It's come in and it's $25. Awesome! That's wonderful. Can I collect it next week? I'll have more money by then. Oh sure. Whatever works for you is fine. I'll talk to you soon. Thanks a million, Linda. You're very welcome, John. Bye. That conversation literally takes you into a different part of your body. It takes you into your prefrontal cortex, which is your happy brain. It lights up your beautiful little nucleus accumbens in your brain, the reward center in your brain, and you start feeling good. So you're going to get a Switch Buddy, and agree with them that every time they say a low energy word or you say a low energy word, you're going to switch each other. So it goes like this: "Don't worry." Switch. "Oh, you'll be fine." "Not bad." Switch. "It's quite good actually." No problem. Switch. "You're welcome." And as you go through the day, you're gonna find quite a lot of times that someone's switching you. It's fun to start, and then it's interesting to notice how many low energy words you use. After just 2 days of playing this game, You'll find you're actually feeling more optimistic, you're feeling good, and you'll love to be around other people because you're listening to beautiful words that they're giving you as gifts that you can give and receive. Go ahead and create your world, create your destiny with the new language of Switch. This is Dr. Yvonne Oswald Oswald Oswald. Pass this around to anybody you'd love to pass it around to, and I'd love to hear from you at yvonne@globalwelcome.com. That's Yvonne Oswald Oswald at global, globalwelcome.com. Until I speak to you soon, have a great day, be really kind to yourself and any kids you meet. Bye!
