In this vlog‑style documentary, EuroLeague guard Elijah Bryant walks viewers through the demanding physical, mental, and logistical aspects of his in‑season life as his team fights for a playoff spot. He details his daily strength‑and‑mobility training, adaptive rehab work, and a comprehensive recovery protocol that includes ice baths, red‑light therapy, compression boots, massages, and targeted stretching. Bryant emphasizes the mental discipline behind his habits—daily prayer with his family, journaling, and a steadfast belief that “faith plus consistency” drives performance. He shares personal moments with his wife Jen, who prepares a healthy dessert, and outlines his tightly‑structured game‑day schedule: early wake‑up, hydration, vitamins, mobility work, team shoot‑around, hotel routine, and pre‑game prayers. The narrative also covers the grueling travel schedule during double‑week stretches, the pressure of must‑win games against Baskonia, Maccabi Tel Aviv, and the looming play‑in spot, and his mantra of “consistency over intensity.” Interspersed commentary from teammates, a cameraman, and game‑play narration provides context for the on‑court action and highlights Bryant’s performance in key moments.

Every game matters. That's what they say. We may have started slow, but we always knew who we are and what we're capable of. 2 games, 48 hours, and we have to win them all if we want a shot at the playoffs. But before the games comes the work, and we're pretty much in the weight room and practice facility every day to be consistent in our routines. My in-season routine is typically general strength training with lots of mobility, which is adjusted to strength or rehab areas that need it throughout the long season. We play a lot of games both in EuroLeague and in Turkish League, and our body naturally gets banged up. So rehab and recovery are as big a focus as on-court performance. As we're getting close to the end of the regular season and still haven't clinched a playoff spot, we know the pressure to perform is at its highest. It's a double week. We got Baskonia at home first and then Maccabi in Latvia. Physically, double weeks are insanely demanding, no doubt. That's why recovery has become such a priority in my routines. If I can't recover, I can't play my best in both games. So we have to prioritize recovery at all costs. Something that I've implemented a ton in the last years that really helps me is ice baths. Ice baths are crucial part of my recovery, especially during weeks like this with so many important games. I try to get in around 10 minutes every morning, after every game, and after intense practices. There's something also incredibly valuable from the mental perspective of doing something hard or tough that you maybe don't want to do. I don't want to freeze in this cold tub, but I know it will benefit me. And so I mentally choose to do what's hard but good for me. The rest of my recovery routine really depends on my specific aches and pains as well as the time available. I'm not going to go into it in detail in this video, and I'll link a PDF in the description if you want to check it out. But it looks something like this. Red light therapy. Compression boots, massages, mobility and stretching. All of this I fit in around my schedule of team practices, weights, meals, and family time. Tonight Jen treated us to this amazing and healthy dessert. It's her famous date bark. The Bryant family definitely has a sweet tooth, but we're blessed that my amazing wife knows how to make healthy taste so good. I'm in bed around 10 PM if possible before game days, and tonight's No different. We have a big game tomorrow against Baskonia, and I need to make sure that I'm well rested. I wake up around 9 AM, well rested, and begin my morning routine— hydration, vitamins, and breakfast. Around 10:10, I'm off to shoot around with the team. Our typical game day routine is a team shoot around at 11, then we all go to the hotel and spend the rest of the day as a team— lunch, nap, watch film. We do it all from the hotel, and some of us even show out for the cameras. Honestly, I'm a creature of habit and believe great habits make great athletes. Before I get on the court, I do a full mobility and stretching routine. I'll also share my link below in the comments and description. Again, our body is our moneymaker, and to have a long, healthy career and perform at our best, we need to stay healthy. Don't skip mobility.
Here's the shooting practice for Elijah. Cash, no credit cards allowed. Cash. And here's his personal cameraman.
How do you zoom in on this thing?
I think I found it.
I found it.
One of the expensive ones in the business. Intern, intern, intern cameraman, and he's still cash.
A rare miss from Elijah Bryant.
Tommy, you about to fight? Okay, let's speedrun this a bit. Before each game, I call my family and we pray together. Faith is a huge part of my life and who I am. If you've been following along, you know the formula is faith plus consistency. After our prayers, it's game time.
Well, as for Anadolu Efes Istanbul, they arrive here in their best moment of the season, a 4-game winning streak. The 3-2 zone, 2-3 zone now, as Elijah Bryant pulling up for 3.
That is a tough bucket.
So Elijah Bryant beneath the free throw line, stopping on a diamond. Almost traveling up. Oh my goodness, Shane Larkin crosses up, drops off, and then drills the mid-range J. Final score from the Basketball Development Center in Istanbul is Anadolu Efes Istanbul 92, Baskoni Vitoria-Gasteiz 76.
And just like that, we're off again. I meet the team at the bus around 9:15 and we head to the airport. During the season, we spend more time traveling from airports to hotels than in our own beds, but that's part of the gig. And double weeks are the worst. We all try and catch a little sleep on the flight. Some are more effective than others. After getting settled into the hotel, we have a team practice and shoot around to get some touches and prepare for the game tomorrow. After practice, we'll eat and pretty much head to bed. Got a big day tomorrow and the stakes are at an all-time high. Cucumber, ketchup. Oh, it's game day morning and I have my routine down. I wake up, hydrate, and take vitamins. Do my mobility routine, write in my journal, and do my morning prayers. I try not to vary from this system, not out of superstition, but because I know what works for me, and these things bring me into the right mental and physical space. I join the team for breakfast around 9:00 AM. Huh, maple syrup. Game day again, and we got a team shoot around to get the body movement. I call the family before for a nap to check in, and we'll do our family prayers later before the game. Final journal to lock in my keys for the game, and it's go time. Another must-win game if we want to secure a spot in the playoffs, and it's against my old team, Maccabi Tel Aviv.
So commemorative jerseys at the Show Me Arena, those 8-bit graphics. Maccabi play Tika Tel Aviv in their chain strip of predominantly white. Terrific drive on the baseline for Elijah Bryant. 17 consecutive free throws, having made both of his foul shots in the round 31 Seeking to continue.
So Elijah Bryant, pull-up 3-pointer from the top of the key is good.
Nice reception, Elijah Bryant, to run down that basketball, working the dribble behind the back, between the legs, stops at the elbow and gets the mid-range J to fall.
We secured the second win against Maccabi, which means we're very close to securing a play-in spot. We're not 100% out of the woods yet. Next up, Red Star. See you guys in the next one, and remember, consistency over intensity.
