Can We Still Clinch A Play-Off Spot? | Euroleague Gameday vs. Bayern Munich

In this EuroLeague gameday vlog, Elijah Bryant takes viewers through his pre‑game morning routine in Istanbul, his travel to Munich, and the team's preparation for a crucial matchup against Bayern Munich. He shares personal reflections on mindset, emphasizing the principle that "where attention goes, energy flows," and ties it to his faith and consistency. Bryant provides a detailed scouting breakdown of Bayern’s key players, noting tendencies and defensive strategies. The video interleaves behind‑the‑scenes footage (gym work, hotel stay, red‑light therapy, mobility, and prayer) with live in‑game commentary, highlighting his own plays, team assists, and pivotal moments of the contest. After the win, Bryant conducts a locker‑room interview with teammate Rodri, discusses the team's character, and reinforces the importance of a foundational belief system—faith, family, and health practices—to sustain performance on and off the court.
Bryant, nice crossover! What a great individual move by Elijah Bryant.
I'm a hard worker. I'm a problem solver. I'm loved. I can do anything. I love you. You're gonna have a good day at school, okay? Okay.
I love you. No, I love you.
I love you. Hey guys, it's Wednesday morning here in Istanbul, just a day before our big game in Germany against Bayern Munich. I just dropped my boys off at school and now I'm making my breakfast. After my morning routine, I'm packing up and headed to the gym for practice, but I gotta bring all my stuff since we're heading straight to the airport after. Today's game was a real dogfight and Roddy, he was a beast. Stay till the end to catch my exclusive locker room interview with him. Look at me if you can't guard me. Don't look at me if you can't guard me. It's fasting. Good day. Hello. Say it. I'm eating. He is not eating. He's fasting.
I'm eating.
Yes.
Muslim brothers.
Thanks very much.
It would have been worse. Did you talk to you?
Hey, you don't got team gear on though.
Where's your team gear?
All right, so we finally made it to the hotel. We are here in Munich, Germany. This is the race to the play-in for us, exactly, to be honest. I mean, this game is very important in order for us to get where we want to be. This isn't going to be an easy win at all because I'm pretty sure they're number 1 in the standings right now, or one of the top 5 teams, and they have a bunch of great shooters like Carson Edwards, Rops. So we got our work cut out for us tomorrow, but I'm gonna get a massage. So I was just thinking, because the other day I had a friend call me and they were stressed. They were stressed about what was happening on the court. And what I told them basically was, look, are you controlling everything that you can control? Yeah, but no, like, it's like literally I'm doing that, but then everything that I can't control is going against me. And it's like you're focusing on things that don't matter, right? Where attention goes, energy flows. And this is a concept I just learned this year. And we all know at the beginning of the year I was focusing on a lot of things that did not matter, and I had to take a step back and look, okay, where is your— where are you focusing your energy at? And when you understand that where your attention goes, your energy flows, and the more you are in those thoughts is the reality that you're going to see— like the saying, walk by faith, not by sight— using your mind to have faith of that reality. I don't know if that's making sense, but I told him where your attention goes, your energy flows. So be very, very mindful of what you're putting your energy on or your attention on. So don't wake up in the morning and look exactly at the news. If someone pisses you off on the road, don't focus on that. That's wasted energy. If the rep doesn't give you a call, don't focus on that. That's wasted energy. Focus on things you can control and put your attention towards your desired reality. What is that? That's exactly what faith is. That's why I always say faith plus consistency, because if you don't believe, then there's no point in being consistent. There's no point in going to the gym if you don't believe. When you shoot it, you have to believe that it's going to go in. If you shoot it thinking you're going to miss, you're probably going to freaking miss. They know the vibes in Germany. Watch this. I don't know, I mean, I know And the reason for using red light like this at night, this is a better way to secrete melatonin instead of flashing blue light in your eyes. So supposed to make you fall asleep. Guys, we slept freaking amazing. Dude, this bed along with the Chili Pad, first team all beds. Literally first team all beds. Today's an opportunity to get better. It's not just a game day, but the opportunity to get better, opportunity to serve thy neighbor, opportunity to grow closer towards Christ. You gotta look at— start looking at stuff in life as an opportunity. Everything's an opportunity. Adversity is an opportunity. We won the morning. We woke up, got straight to some scripture reading, then some Duolingo, working on my Spanish, talk to my beautiful queen, see CEO of our family, the engine through it all. We did our mobility. We won this morning. Now it's time to go win breakfast by the choices we make, win shootaround, win this nap. Let's get it. Juicy!
Come on, man, give me something.
Welcome to Germany, man.
Welcome to my area.
We're here at SAP Garden, my new home. See that shit?
Light work.
Toughest gym in Europe.
Light work.
Locker room? Ask, ask. Locker room?
It's like your tour.
Oh, you can speak, brother? All right, so we just got back from shootaround. And we're about to go watch film as a team. But I like to, for my routine, is to watch the tendencies of players. Obviously the team has multiple plays, all this stuff, but remember Drew Holiday telling me about tendencies, and we talked about this in another video, how the best defenders operate off tendencies, and they're going to try to put the offensive player to do tendencies that they do not want to do. So if we go through their roster, you have, you know, you have opp sniper, so don't let them shoot. You have Edwards, sniper driver as well to the left. Don't let him shoot and force him to go right. You have Ljusic, who cutter flops a lot, first team all-flops. You have to know that because that's a skill of his. Jumps really high when he shoots, you have to know that when you contest. Uh, Napier, step back left, organized the team, very undercontrolled. You have Nick Willerbad, had like 5 threes against us when we played them last time. Big guard, tries to find his team. He averages like 5 assists. So these are all things that I like to watch and see how they scored in their last games to see how they're feeling confident, because I know how I'm feeling confident and what worked for me and what didn't work for me. So that's the best way for me to give advice on when you have a scouting report or you have film, to use the cheat sheet for the test. So I just watch it on my, on my phone, what shots he is taking and what shots that he feels comfortable taking, he doesn't feel comfortable So obviously butt naked threes, they're easy. But if you want to see more breakdowns like this, come and watch the Players Corner where I'm doing detailed analysis on my games and maybe in the future some other people's games. What'd you say? What'd you say? What'd you say, Rodri? How was your day? Good. Did you have a good day? School? Today was Daddy, Daddy. Today, like, was He was sick. No, not Michael. Martin. Martin was sick. Can we say prayers? Yes. Okay, let me say them or you want to say them? You can say them or I can say them. Me say them? Dear Heavenly Father, we thank you for this day. We thank you for our many blessings. We thank you for the gospel in our lives. We thank you for— I love you. I love you. Give me kisses. Let me see your muscles. I know so many times we can get caught up on our results or how we play and we feel feel bad about ourselves because our identity is so wrapped up in a sheet, a stat sheet. And that's why it's so important to have a foundation, something that you lean on whether you're playing good or playing bad. And my foundation has always been my faith and my family. For that, or for you, that might be something different, but it's great to have something to lean on. That way you don't— aren't looking for something on the outside to get a feeling on the inside, right? That feeling you feel when you play well, it's a great feeling. But when you don't play well, you're searching for that through how you eat, through the way you treat people, all that stuff. So finding a foundation can help you have more success on and off the basketball court. But with that being said, go to the dub.
Into the early— well, the ball is in the air and we are underway here. Well, good to know it's too heady. Edwards steps into a 3 and his shot rattles the rim. Uh, good anticipation by Bryant. They're moving on to Bobois. Bobois, I tell you, he came free off the pick. Bryant baseline jump shot. Both coaches now in their rotations. Great work by Smith. So Smith had a good seal, and Bryant, nice touch pass to make it an easy 2 for Rolan Smith. Napier step-back 3, got it. He wants one as well, and you can hear Gordon Herbert, he says, we got to get out, we got to get on a run. Wyler Babbitt, I got you, coach, no problem. Larkin from the corner, I really love the execution. He's having a night. Thompson, Poirier missed the lay-in, he would love to have that one back. What a great pass to Bryant. Great court vision from Bobois as he finds Bryant at just 2 baskets from mid-range. Bryant, nice crossover. What a great individual move by Elijah Bryant as he loses Lucic. It's a 7-0 run now from FS. Wider, Fab shot short, and that's— Poirier bleeds out for an easy basket. Edwards feeling it now, Carson Edwards. Love Ochudo in that high post, just facilitates, finds shooters. That's Dozier. 2 points in it. Oh, got it! Same spot as last time. Edwards' pass intercepted. Great anticipation by Dozier. Headmadsen to Bryant, and Bryant lays it up and in. I tell you what, we've got a lot of scoring. Bryant, that's so rugged by Elijah Bryant, goes out at the off— Bryant attacks on the end one, they love running. Edwards off that high screen and Harris punctuates it. Half spent is the clock, they could go 2-for-1 here. Larkin, a deep 3, Count it! Mukembo! Weiler-Babb lines up a 3, won't go. And that's it, Larkin gets it. FS should get out of dodge here. Thompson throws it ahead. FS are going to win this. Anadolu FS come in to the SAP Arena, the SAP Garden. Such a difficult place to play and a difficult place to win, and they're going to cap the victory right here. Congratulations to Coach Bangi. His team played with tremendous character to come here. Was effectively a must-win game for his club, and do just that against a Bayern team who were so tough at home. What a fantastic game of basketball. Rodrigo, how does it feel to score?
What'd you end up with? 23-19 in the first quarter at 37 years old. What do you got to say? Say it to all your Guadeloupéans. It's all about the win. Like, we play amazing as a team. That's a big win for sure. Winning here, we know how difficult I take it every day. So yeah, I'm very happy about this win. Let's do it, my brother. Let's do it. A huge road win in a tough environment. The road to the playoffs continues. Now back to home to reset and get ready for our next big opponent, Partizan. See you in Serbia. Remember, consistency over intensity. Love.
