Dillon Brooks earns respect for showing up ready to compete every night. A teammate with that hunger matters more than star power, and coaches would take his drive over players just collecting paychecks.

Say what you want about Dylan Brooks, but if I'm a basketball player and he's on my team, I'm going every single night. And I want a guy like that on my side in the— like, what do you guys expect him to do? Say roll over and say, yeah, we're gonna— LeBron's so good, Luka's so good. No, every single night he puts his shorts on just like I put my shorts on. He's coming to compete every single night. A lot of you people in the media say, oh, he's going to be in China, this. I guarantee there's plenty of coaches will take that competitiveness that drive and that hunger every single night than some guy who's just gonna show up to collect his check.
