In this vlog‑style episode, Elijah Bryant walks viewers through the challenges of a EuroLeague double‑week schedule, emphasizing the importance of recovery both on and off the court. He lists the seven essential items he travels with—ChiliPad, lacrosse ball, PGF band, Hyperice compression boots, magnesium supplements, recovery tights, and a mini‑band—explaining how each supports sleep, muscle health, and overall performance. Bryant then shifts to a live game commentary of a high‑tempo EuroCup matchup in Paris, highlighting key plays, player matchups, and the team’s “run‑and‑gun” style. After the win, he reflects on his personal performance, noting two things he did well (free‑throw shooting, rebounding) and one area for improvement (early‑quarter patience). The segment closes with a motivational message about team unity, the value of belief, and a reminder to watch the film breakdown on Players Corner. Throughout, the narrative blends practical recovery advice, tactical basketball analysis, and team‑building ethos.
Chapters
The big thing about these double weeks is recovery. Those are probably the top 7 items I travel with to make sure that I'm recovering to the best of my ability.
Capital letters. We need each other. We need each other. That's why we create this.
Come on.
Bonjour. So we've been on the road probably for— we've been on the road since the 10th. Today's the 16th. Went to Israel, had a game there. We went to Valencia, had a game there. So we've been moving. And the reason I bring that up is because being in these different cities and being away from home— we've been in different cities, and the big thing about these double weeks is recovery. And part of it is mental recovery, physical recovery, but I like to call this mental and physical Recovery mental because polay reminds me of home. Physical because chicken and rice is one of the best things for you. We got in at 5 in the morning. Okay, just to hold myself accountable on my hydration, I put these two water bottles in here while I'm about to shower, and they have to be finished before I get out of the shower. Game day. But when it comes to recovery, especially during a double week, there's a lot of modalities that you can bring, use. I wanted to bring my hyperbaric chamber, but that's not feasible. So the number one modality I probably bring out of everything that I bring, probably the Chili Pad. And the reason being is that Sleep is the best recovery tool. That's when your body gets rid of all the metabolic waste in your brain. Your muscles recover, hair. So if I had to pick one thing that I bring that's the best, would be the chili pack. I have some other tools that I'll show you when I get back from shootaround, but yeah, let's go. So when it comes to recovery specifically, what do I travel with? Always travel with lacrosse ball. After having plantar fasciitis, I always travel with this to to be able to do calf stretches and single leg step downs to keep the VMO strong. My PGF band for stretching, for workouts, stuff like that. I can tell you all the workouts that I have for this guy. This thing's amazing just to get a workout in anywhere. My Hyperice compression boots, vitamins— this is magnesium specifically— and then you have recovery tights. Oh, my mini band that I do activation in the morning with. But these are all things I travel with specifically. But the number one thing we talked about earlier was the chili pad. So that is everything. Those are probably the top 7 items I travel with to double week to make sure that I'm recovering to the best of my ability and making sure you're getting really, really good sleep. And to be honest, we haven't talked much about Paris. To be exact, this team, it plays like the NBA.
A really good defense here. Oh, terrific defense! He's gonna pick it up. Yeah, and it gives it right back, as it should be.
Running gun, offense, rebounds, a lot of shots. They have leading scorer right now, 50. One of my former teammates, uh, Justin Robinson as well as Derek Willis. I played with Justin Robinson with the Bucks and Willis, um, with Ephesus and Amot in Ephesus and actually Dalton Holmes in the Bucks Summer League. So there's a lot of ties here, but this team plays wild basketball, but it's their style and it works for them. Running gun, pressure defense, shoot a bunch of threes, and that's why you got to recover, especially for this team. We played the two most up-tempo teams this week, so let's watch some film.
All right, let's get it.
Game time.
Well, good evening everyone and welcome to Paris. It's the end of a double week in round 5 of the EuroLeague, and tonight's match features a clash between the last two winners of the EuroCup. Ball's in the air. It's into the hands of Nadir Heepe. Bryant rises at the free throw line. Got some love from the rim. Yeah! Nice pass. Malcolm kicks. It's really good from Atwell. Tel Aviv and Bryant. Wainwright missed one already. Rimmed out. It's the second time now Elijah Bryant's attacked the glass. Number of seasons with FS. There's Motley in a two-man gang with Bryant, in and out. Bryant. Bryant gets called for the charge. Peefey has the mismatch now. Gannett has to try and keep him in front. Peefey wraparound pass to Fye, and Fye converts. Here's the 5 now. They're going to get the mismatch. This is what they want. They want to go at Motley. That's what he talked about. Flip it, get the 5. Heave me with the finger roll. It won't go, and Elijah Bryant with the rebound.
What a dramatic finish here. We need each other. This is the message. So the message was, yes, we have a roster. Today is going to be Tyler Brown. Tyler coming in. Also the first unit, everybody, we had a double week with two energetic teams. It's not easy to play against two energetic teams that they hustle, they play, but we found the way and we kept believing. So kept believing, you can believe in capital letters. We need each other. We need each other. That's why we create this. Come on, guys.
All right, so we got the win. That's all that matters. 1 point, 20 points, that's all that matters. I think sometimes too many people focus on, oh, you didn't beat him by 20. It's a dub, so that's all that matters. As always, at the end, we talk about 2 things I did well and 1 thing I could do better. 2 things I did well: hit all my free throws, I rebound after having that week. I think FS— I think I had 1 rebound. So one thing I could do better is play more patient early, especially against a team like this who's very up-tempo, wants to get a lot of possessions. There's a few possessions early, I'm in the first quarter, I feel like I rushed a little bit. But I'll watch the film as always. You guys can watch the film with me because we watch it on Players Corner and learn from it and then watch it. But now I gotta pack, headed back to Sofia. We're on this journey and I'm excited you're on this journey with me. And as always, Faith plus consistency. Love.
