In this brief motivational monologue addressed to young basketball players, the speaker urges listeners to view their earthly life as fleeting— likening it to a nanosecond compared to the eternity of heaven. By adopting this perspective, he argues that conventional pursuits such as money, fame, power, and prestige become insignificant. Instead, the speaker emphasizes that true priorities should be faith, family, friends, and work that serves others. He concludes with a direct call to action: go and serve someone.

All right, listen up, young hoopers. So what would you do if you knew that your mortal journey was only a nanosecond? It's only going to feel like a nanosecond compared to what we're going to experience in heaven. You would only worry about the stuff that matters and not focus on the stuff that is noise. What do I mean when I say that? There's a lot of stuff we think that matters— money, fame, power, prestige. None of that matters. What matters is faith, family, friends, and work that serves. So go and serve someone.
