Three friends try a cold plunge challenge. One does it to stay sharp, another for his son Blue, and the third compares the nerve-wracking buildup to pre-game jitters before an NBA game, but finds the water itself feels good and easier than a cold shower.
All right, I'm doing something that maybe some people call stupid, but it's hard. And as an athlete, you know, you just want to do hard things, continue to do hard things no matter day off or not. I'm getting like anxious.
Honestly, at this point I'm thinking, why? Why am I doing this to myself? Okay, let me get to my happy place. Do it for Blue. Do it for Blue. Oh, Blue is my son, by the away. Okay, okay, safer, safer. Okay, we're good.
The crazy thing about that whole experience is I was so— I was as nervous as like my first NBA game. I was so nervous, like, like the anxiety leading up to getting in the pool. But once I got out, felt good. Once I got in, I really felt good. Like, it goes numb. I would say that is easier than a cold shower to me personally.
