A proposal to add a 4-point play in the final two minutes of the fourth quarter: if a player hits a three-pointer off the backboard, it counts for four points instead. The idea is to give trailing teams a real comeback path and keep fans watching till the end.
All right, hear me out on this. New rule: 4-point play under 2 minutes, but you have to hit a backboard 3 in the 4th quarter. I think it makes the game more interesting, and at the end of the day, isn't the game an entertainment? So someone's down by 12 in the 4th, fans aren't leaving because there's still an opportunity for the team to come back. So you increase viewership just by adding a new rule. I'm trademarking it now. It's called EB4 Under 4.
