As I enter my 6th year of playing professional basketball, I'm striving to make the most of my training hours and take care of my body. Recently, I've been focusing on improving my shot mechanics with the help of a weighted vest for microloading. The shooting cues I'm diligently working on are ensuring my shooting shoulder is in front, matching my shoulders with my hips during the setup point, spotlighting the elbow throughout my release, paying close attention to the ball at the lift point, making sure the inside of the ball aligns with the inside of the face, carefully observing the index finger during the release, and refining his positioning, analyzing the pattern and outcome of my shots, and making adjustments when needed. Sometimes I even like to close my eyes to focus solely on correcting the pattern. My ultimate goal is to change any undesirable habits, not just to make the shot.
