A Warriors fan questions the trade for a new ball-handler whose dribble-heavy, mid-range style clashes with Golden State's quick-passing offense. The speaker worries it disrupts the system built around Curry, Green, and Thompson, and wonders if the team is abandoning what made them work.
I honestly don't understand what the Warriors were thinking. Literally, their offense is pass and cut, pass and move, and the guy they got literally likes to dribble the ball the whole possession and then shoot a mid-range two-pointer, which the Warriors don't shoot twos. Am I crazy to think that they were better with what they had before? And this kind of sets their timeline up to be done when their big 3 are done. Okay, yes, I get it, they want another ball handler. They don't want to play through Draymond when Steph goes out. But do they want to play a completely different ball game? Pick and roll with Chris Paul, let him make the decision on every play? Is he going to run the second unit? Like, I'm just confused.
