A rapper in Florida reflects on street lessons learned the hard way: a stolen chain, guns pointed at his truck, and the realization that you need trusted people around you and shouldn't talk tough. He pays tribute to a fallen associate named Static.
Writing this from Florida with love. When I linked with Mexico, I knew I found a plug. Rest in peace to Static yelling shorty wanna thug. Hey, bottles in the club. Hey, know I love to touch. Hey, please play that shit for me and Kobe on the bus. When it got a chain from me, I had to give it up. Niggas had they pistols loaded, pointed in my truck. Hey, and you know that lesson stuck, right? From that day, I never touched the road without a bro. Hey, from that day, I never saw the point in talking tough. Hasn't happened
