In this brief public service announcement, the speaker addresses young basketball players, urging them to set aside pride when playing with more skilled opponents. The core advice is to actively ask questions about the opponent’s techniques, strategies, and how they achieve easy scores. The speaker emphasizes that vulnerability is not a weakness; instead, seeking knowledge about others’ successes and failures can provide valuable tips and tricks, accelerating the listener’s own development on the court.

If you're a young hooper and you're hooping with someone that's better than you, stop having pride. Ask questions. Ask what they're doing. Ask how they're getting easy buckets. Ask how they're being successful on the court. Who cares? Put your ego down. I think too many players are like, oh no, I'm not going to ask because it's going to show vulnerability that I'm not good enough. No, ask, ask, ask as many questions as possible because if you can learn from their failures, they can tell you the tricks and tips, then you'll be well on your way.
