Short transcript excerpt from a YouTube video by Eric Deeran - Master Filmmaker. Two speakers discuss business mindset: encouraging booking a discovery/sales call, taking financial risks to grow, and the principle that one must invest in oneself to signal value to clients. The tone is pragmatic and motivational.
Guess what? What advice would you.
I'd say book the call. That's kind of where I was early on, too. I kept seeing your ads pop up, and I was like, yeah, you know what? What have I got to lose by booking a call just to see if it's a right fit for me? And, you know, Hakeem came on the phone and we chatted for a little bit, and I went through the question there a little bit. I'm like, yeah, this kind of does really seem like it would fit my needs. And I do want to grow, and I do want to not have to worry about money anymore. So why would I not take this risk? And if I can't risk, you know, the investment that this program was, I probably shouldn't be in business. You know what I mean?
Well, the other thing, too is, like, I always say for myself, like, if my, if me, myself, if I'm not willing to invest money into myself to grow, how could I expect anyone, any of my clients or customers to invest into me? And that goes for video business owners, too. It's like if you expect clients to pay you these high ticket retainers, but you yourself are not willing to invest in you, nobody else is going to be willing.
