Are you a technician or are you a business owner? A trap that a lot of people fall into is their technicians, meaning their DPs, editors, gaffers, people who work on set, and they fall into this frame of thinking that they are a business owner. But at the end of the day, you are not a business owner unless you have employees under you and you can take time off and your business still makes money. And a lot of people are in technician roles and they think that they are business owners, when at the end of the day, they are not. They are simply just technicians. Which there's nothing wrong with being a technician. But if you ever want to buy your time back, back and have more time for your family, you need to become a business owner so you can hire more technicians under you to do different tasks within the business.
